Looks like reverse image search respect robots.txt so it won't work on 4chan anymore unless the devs change it.

Whether it was 4chan switching i.4cdn.org/robots.txt to ban Google's bot, or Google deciding to respect a pre-existing robots.txt all of sudden, the problem has been resolved on 4chan's end by permitting Googlebot to access thumbnails on 4chan's servers.

The robots.txt was changed to disallow everything. Then it was changed to allow only thumbnails. Then finally changed the google search link to use the url of the thumbnail rather than the image so it works again. Nothing to do with 4chanx.

4chan X's latest update added a workaround (add #s.jpg to the end of search urls to make it match the thumb urls).
In case devbro is reading: why not just unblock images completely for googlebot? is it still a problem for bandwidth with cloudflare or is there another reason?
