Depends on the board. A laughing acronym is generally better on one of the faster boards whereas a comment like "thanks for the laugh" is better on a more discussion oriented boards. A reaction image on its own usually looks like you are just laughing at the poster, rather than the post, although is fine if accompanied by a comment
