>There are people on this site who want IDs and Flags on all boards, even going as far as to say that we need accounts.
I want all these people hung.
I said this in another thread once but maybe it's relevant here too.
I don't know much about other popular "discussion" sites, but from what little I do know about them 4chan actually seems like the only place for actual discussion.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all the other ones use stupid systems like sorting content by person instead of topic (like twitter and facebook?) or by sorting conversations by popularity of each little individual comment (e.g. you know what site I'm talking about)?
So maybe all these people are coming here because their usual sites are stifling to real conversation, and maybe that's why we have so many people here that don't care at all about anonymity or understand why we think it makes everything better. (Or why we have so many normalfags)
Someone needs to make a decent social site for these people that actually allows conversation. Then maybe they'd all go over there and leave 4chan alone.

Hanged. Not hung.

You mean hanged, I'm already hung.
you mean bunged

>wanting IDs and flags
>>556764
IDs need to be brought back to /b/. No need for flags outside /pol/ or /int/ though.
IDs are good only for when blatant samefagging can't be reined in by mods, flags are shit and should be removed entirely except on /int/.
>>556817
if you think IDs are "reddit" then you're the new one here lmao
IDs are alright. If you're upset that you can't same-fag, the fact that the website now keeps track of independent IPs (shown as Posters), you're already shit out of luck... in threads with only you replying to them.
>>556929
/pol/ is the most reddit board, therefore wanting flags and IDs is reddit
>>556939
Then why are ids necessary if ips are already tracked?
>>556929
Lets see what boards have ID's
>/pol/
>/soc/
>/b/ not anymore and was useless from the start.
>>556822
Samefagging is not against the rules.

Please stop lumping in thread IDs with flags and accounts. Thread IDs aren't anywhere near flags. And accounts should be laughed off.
