Is it necessary for our safety? At what point is it too militarized? Is it a danger for our freedom?

Not in Germany.
If we need military/ special forces, we can just call them.
If we don't, our police forces are equipped enough to do the mission, maybe just not experienced enough, which is an entirely different problem.

problem is source of crime.
why do you need stronger hammer when there is no nails?

At least they're not welfare queens like the military.

>our police forces are equipped enough to do the mission,
Our police force is a joke and doesn´t have enough rights to handle day to day situations. Most criminal scum is just let go because they don´t wanna deal with it. German police should at least use rubber bullets against people opposing them, not just antifa scum, but people who try to fight simple arrests etc.

Wait for the first terror attack and the second and the third...
Our politicians will militarize the police as soon as they start fearing the pack of uncivilized apes that they welcomed into this land.

>our freedom?
You are living in an occupational state. What freedom are you talking about?

In Brazil exist military police, every state owns one special, its easier joins MP than the army itself, but they receive bad and have a shitty treinament, so we created a corrupted group with germans and belgian rifles, the situation is so creepy that in rio exist militias and death squads of MP

The military does a great job in Belgium and a llt of them that were in Brussels were the first to give first-aid to the wounded of the terrorist attacks.
Crime has dropped in every district were soldiers are deployed. The more the better I say.

It's one of the first articles coming up at Google. Isn't the Republican party also against the Militarization of Law enforcement?

You just said long live the terrible lizard
It's the reason why americans need assult rifles.
2nd amendment is for killing cops, politicians and any individuals or groups who attempt to take away, and violate americans natural and civil liberties.
It's alot harder to do that with out an assult rifle.

More government power means less power and less liberty for its people.
Government needs to be regulated, and reminded time from time who they serve and who to fear
>>72245467
nah
>>72245363
But the more assault rifles the more police can justify their militarization with no end in sight.
