So I'm registered to vote in NY, but I'm registered independent. What are the odds I can walk in, claim to be a registered republican and vote trump? Do they actually check for party affiliation?

Why did you wait until super Tuesday to ponder this question?

Thanks for the smug response. Where's your anime pic?

The odds are zero.

They check you for your registered party and if you aren't registered as one or the other they say 'you can still vote but your vote won't be tallied'.

Don't try and bullshit them that you 'somehow got switched' like a million faggots in Arizona who forgot to register until it was too late then tried to crybaby their way to making their vote count without looking into the voting process. Don't hold up the line trying to convince them of something that isn't true and make it harder for everyone else to vote because

A) it won't get you anywhere and
B) You won't be the only faggot who forgot to register and will try to bullshit their way into either party.

You fucked up Anon. You should have registered before the deadline if you cared so much. Deal with it.

How do they go about checking millions of voters? Don't most places just take your word for it/an ID?

You deserve to eat my crusty asshole more than yo deserve a vote

When I went to the polls all they needed was a driver's license but they were able to tell my party affiliation from that. IIRC when you register to vote you give them your license so when it comes time to vote, they can see what party you signed on with from the license alone which is how they manage to check everyone so quickly.

Admittedly your state in particular is bullshit with when they closed off the chance to re-register

From what I'm reading you had to decide you wanted Trump before the start of October 2015 where as we here in Arizona had until Feb to get on board.

Well I suppose I can always try. If they say I can vote but it went be tallied, is there even a point?
>>
>>71435500
I know it won't help win him delegates but I believe it does still go towards the popular vote tally.

Even if it doesn't, it's healthy to just go out and do it so you feel more inclined to do it in the future. People need to fucking vote more besides the presidential elections.

If you try, god speed to you (admittedly was a bit harsh before, didn't know you had to register before freaking OCTOBER jesus I certainly wasn't onboard with Trump by then)

But, keep in mind of how much time you'll be tying up doing it. There's going to be a lot of voters and you're likely not the only guy with this idea

Let this be a lesson. You should not register independent. You can be independent. In fact, I would rather you not take sides, but being a registered independent is a very very stupid thing to do. I'm sorry OP, but you are too late to matter. You and people like you who are registered independent are fools. I am sorry to say this but you are not being strategic.

By registering independent, you have thrown away your vote. This would not be a bad thing if there was only one election but that's not how it works. By not registering as either Republican or Democrat, and I really don't care what you self-identify as politically, you can be independent as fuck, but you cannot vote for your favorite candidate in either party.

Find the one that is the most agreeing with your ideals, and join it. You will be able to vote in their election. You want to make sure the candidate you like makes it to the final election? Then vote for them BEFORE the final election. Register properly (that is, join whatever party you agree with the most and has the candidate you like the most) and make sure your voice is heard.
>>
Wait a minute, how do you know if you're qualified to vote or not? I'm registered Republican and it says so on the website but I could have sworn I registered too late. If I'm on the website registered as Republican can I vote?

If it says you're registered then you can vote, now go and vote for Trump! The deadline was fucking October 9, 2015. So you probably didn't register in time, it's probably an error, but who cares?
>>
Why is your voting process always so complicated

Who profits from this
>>
>>71437541
People in power. Complicated is difficult for outsiders to get as easily and there are lots of nooks and crannies and catch-22's for bureaucracy and those in power who work the loopholes and rules to their advantage.
