It's very good theorizing, and this is exactly the kind of thinking people should be doing to look for root causes of liberalism. However, I really believe it's totally wrong in applying to politics. r/K selection works at the level of different species or different populations, not within a population, such as between liberals and conservatives. Populations adapted for cold climates are K selected, for quality of offspring (e.g., Whites, Japanese, etc.). populations adapted for hot climates, a.k.a., evolutionary easy-mode are r-selected for quantity (e.g., Blacks). It has nothing to do with why so many Whites are liberal, but could only be applied to political differences between racial groups.

I don't think there can be a genetic basis for liberalism within White populations based on r/K selection. We are all cold-adapted and k-selected.
