Unemployment sits at nearly 40% and our economy is not growing as a developing nation should.
Our current President is a man who never went to school, has 5 wives and an unknown number of children, many already adults, whom he steals millions of tax money for to build a mansion.
With all these problems, extremist leftist groups have begun to rise, most notably, the economic freedom fighters lead by Julius Malema. They wish to drive me, my family and friends into the sea.
I am an Afrikaner. I was born on this continent, the blood of its people flows through my veins. I cannot and will not "go back to Europe".
Having these problems is making South Africa a ticking time bomb waiting to explode into Zimbabwe style land reparations or even genocide.

I can't give you too much input on Botswana and Ghana - I visited Ghana once but didn't really gather enough of solid experience to comment on daily life there.
As for Namibia it really is a lot better than you may think.
There are obviously parts of the country that are a lot less safe than what you are used to in 1st World countries, but the landside doesn't really matter to you anyways when you are after business.
The cities you should probably look into are Windhoek and Walvis Bay (possibly even Rundu) - of course you have rougher districits you want to avoid in these cities but you also have that in every bigger western city.
Aside from these rough patches it can often look and feel very "European" as far as safety goes. The police is doing a very good job based on my experiences - and heck some of them won't even let you bribe them.
Laborers of course depend on what sort of qualification you are going after - if you are looking for people with degrees I would again advise you to go to Windhoek as Namibia's main university is located there and people from all over the country study - and later settle in the city.
The biggest thing you need to be aware of is that a fair share of Namibians don't view colonization as being awful and there even are some who romanticize the German era.
