Look at some of those nice tools that have a nice long handle. Metal not plastic is the way to go after all weeds need to be weeded and metal pitchforks for example with a long handle can really get in there good.
Perhaps a good axe for splitting logs. Sometimes you get those pesky weeds and machette does a really good job in handling those things.
Don't forget a good hammer (perhaps sledge hammer or regular one) is really good for busting up those pesky rocks that are hard to dig out.
Another thing to look at are those pesky wasps that might build a nest around your house. Wasp spray goes a long way and shooting it in the faces of those horrible insects will allow you to either run away safely or get in close to finish the job.
Also I recommend getting some good thick leather work gloves. Those rose bushes have some thorns and you want to make sure that you don't get hurt by those bushes.
Finally I recommend going to the paint section of the store and get some masks. After all you don't want to get paint all over your hair and face.
