I think the vast majority of times when cops shoot black people are justified
but 99% of the type of person that becomes a cop does so for employment (completely understandable) but also the weird aura of power that comes with the job. I know a bunch of cops, characteristically they are all extremely self centered people and generally care less about other people than most people you encounter in your daily life. This being in a very low crime area so the argument that cops get soured on people by having to deal with scum day in day out doesn't really work. The ones I have known that became cops later on in life went from having somewhat normal interactions or views of other people in society to that of pretty much thinking everyone is a shitty person and everyone is an asshole.

The older brother, you wouldn't even know he was a cop unless you saw him in uniform. Never even carried his gun on him unless he was going to the bad part of town.
