Essential next steps for UKIP:

1) Keep pressure on govt to trigger Article 50
2) Once it is triggered, rebrand. Get rid of the pound sign logo, change colours to red and black
3) Consider a name change
4) Elect a new leader swiftly, with full backing of the party and no public division
5) Under this professional new branding, target disillusioned Labour voters with lower-immigration, harder line on criminals and lower taxes rhetoric

You have to go in to a building full of Pakis, Niggers, and Whites who think they're Niggers interspersed with a handful of intelligent Eastern Asians and Whites. On the whole, you're viewed as stupid and irrelevant despite your years of training to pass knowledge on to the future generations. Your hourly classroom is broken down thusly:
>first 10 mins waiting for students to arrive, sit down and shut the fuck up
>10 minutes going over what you said in the last lesson while trying not to offend any Niggers in case they have a knife
>30 minutes going over the material for the day, stuttering through as you tell Ahmed to turn his phone off and Tyrone to practise his new Rap at lunch time
>last 10 minutes skimming over the last 30 mins of teaching because no cunt listened and then they realised they're going to be tested on this shit next week

I'd do all I could to avoid going in too.

Prepping classwork is gone today, it's all government issued

Writing tests is gone, it's all government issued

So all that's left is marking tests, which is 0 skill, and controlling a classroom, tell me, how many teachers at your school could actually control a classroom? Because I can name maybe 5

From https://www.ucas.com/ucas/teacher-training/getting-started/entry-requirements

You’ll need to hold an undergraduate degree awarded by a UK higher education provider, or a recognised equivalent qualification.

That's 3 years minimum, right?
>>
>>79818962
if a teacher knows how to game the system at a-level and knows about uni applications for oxford, cambridge, medicine, law etc. then their value skyrockets. its such a chokepoint and so ridiculously high stakes at a-level parents and schools will pay almost anything

an arbitrary entry requirement to hold a degree does not entitle you to respect or higher pay

3 years of education at a uni is your reward and how you use it is whats important. entering teaching reaks of lack of ambition and poor life choices.

Ages? All you have to do is get a degree (which all non-plebs do anyway) and then do a one year PGCE (which is funded if you do maths or sciences, iirc). Dealing with kids is more of a natural thing from my experience, some people are able to, some people aren't .

It's not up to Parliament, triggering Article 50 falls within the remit of the royal prerogative.

Parliament would just need to repeal the European Communities Act.

A group of corporations are taking this to judicial review at the moment, but I'd be amazed if they rule otherwise.
>>
>>79819134

Nah mate, what did I say that's not the truth? Everything taught comes from government modules and approved textbooks, there's no requirement for personal knowledge and even if they have some it doesn't matter because they have to teach to the government exams, I have more respect for the rubbish collectors because at least they don't think they're noble for doing what they do

>>79819192

More like 3 years of life when you went out partying 2-3 times per week, woke up past 11 most days and spent hours fucking around playing vidya or chilling with friends, and occasionally attending a lecture or writing an essay. That's what 90% of university students do, and as long as you cram before exams it's still pretty easy to get a first when you do that. University is a joke now.

I know no one who teaches as a career. I'm 33 now, I finished my education half my life ago. Sticking to art subsidies just because I was watching that Yes Minister episode.

It's not ideologically inconsistent at all to want more support for teachers (which benefit most people except those who go private.) and less for art (which for example sake we'll use as something primarily enjoyed by a minority.)

Government is about managing competing interests, and it's unreasonable to become to upset at one side pressing their case.

>Wonder if the threats to his family were a motivating factor?
He's had them for a long time, he learn't to live with them.

It's quite simple really:
Farage and UKIP had one single goal, to get us out of the EU, despite the cries from 'concern shills' . . .this has now been done.

Neither he nor UKIP can possibly do anymore (article 50, terms and conditions, etc).

UKIP is pretty much a shell party now and will have to 're-brand' if it wants to progress . . .. Nigel want's no part of that as it may fall into obscurity now and he with fall with it.

He left at the top and another advantage is he may be included in the exit negotiations later (hard to do if he is leader of another Political party - as it stands he is not even an MP) his standing as an MEP may help with this, If that's what he wants.

He has made it clear that carer politics isn't for him, so I doubt he will go back to re-joining the Tories either.

Boris was meant to be the hero, but that went to shit. Probably because Brexit wasn't meant to happen.

So now the UK is in limbo, and the lack of a charismatic figurehead is making things awkward and chaotic. With no strong leave voice left, it's now just voice after voice of remainers taking every opportunity to make it seem like it was a bad idea.

It's pretty shitty. What on earth do we do now that we actually had a victory? We, as in the far right, have always been the underdogs and always have been losing, and with no leaders to lead us, we're stuck.
>>
>>79825009
Being in the EU has led to a breed of politician that doesn't understand the principle of statesmanship, never mind how to project it effectively.

We've been in a situation for 20+ years where MPs have the ultimate get-out-of-jail card, 'Europe says no'. It's allowed them to become bloated, insulated and arrogant - traits common in any politician, but it's worse here as a result of no longer having ultimate accountability. It's also allowed them to buy wholesale into globalist and integrationist ideals without significant resistance.

Now they suddenly have to organise themselves and strike a deal that's in the best interests of the country and they have no idea how to do that. Many of them come from a generation that has never had to do it before - by the time they became MPs in the mid 90s and later, the EU was doing most of the hardballing for them.

>who is the hero the UK needs?
Really, we need a maverick with a long history in international business and no prior ties to party politics. Someone who will treat international relations like a boardroom. A British Trump.

Dyson might be able to do it, I don't know much about him though. Unfortunately it'll never happen and we'll be stuck with May. Leadsom would be okay but still not good.
