No idea, my family did had a tradition of being members of a Lodge. I do not feel secure entering any group because so far most groups leaders seem to be only interested in using their members.

Right so picking a Lodge is the hard bit! I was very lucky in that I found a great Lodge with a divers range of men from different backgrounds, from banking, motorcycle race riders to railway engineers!
I would personally stay away from Lodges with a high number of coppers or lawyers unless you're either.
I've never been used or felt I should do anything I wouldn't want to due to Masonry. There are sometimes in house political issues but you can likely keep out of that.
I joined because I was interested had two friends in the same Lodge and wanted a lazy way of giving back to my community. Happy to do the work but can someone else find it for me.

If you're move will take more than a year, then I suggest finding a local Lodge, then finding a new Lodge will be very easy as you can visit them all! If your move will take less than a year, then yes try to find one once you're settled or moved at least. It's a great way of meeting new people in an area once you've moved. Depending on the size of the town or city there may only be a few Lodges. Go to a local Lodge rooms/Lodge check which Lodges meet there, then if any of the meeting Lodges have websites, to check if any appeal more than others. If you feel like you want to take it further then
