I can honestly never see it working. If anything a move back to more tribal, nationalistic yet cooperative world seems like it would be much better for everyone. What if we had a bunch of highly nationalistic countries, open to tourism, but it was extremely difficult to emigrate. Imagine if we also had a global fund to help out poorer countries, rather than simply letting all the unskilled and culturally incompatible people flood into other countries.
