I think it's down to the intersection of voters. There have always been a reasonably large number of independence supporters who are against holding another referendum, and quite a few of them will have voted for Brexit (after all, more than a third of Scots did). Those people are probably happy with the referendum result, are fed up of going to the polls, accepted the indyref result, and don't see the point in having another one. Add them to people who oppose independence, and that makes a majority against Sturgeon's scheming plans.

Why do people think Boris wants an EEA style deal? During the debates he talked about access to the single market - not complete access, but the fact we would still be trading with them no matter what. That's exactly what he means.
He even talks about the government being able to limit EU migration in his Telegraph market. That would simpyl not be possible with FULL ACCESS to the single market.

I might not be able to name any economists and I don't know what the IMF or what the WTO do, but if they that we're not just going to have a recession, but when we stop that we'll have a smaller economy -- I'm going to believe in the face of no one saying otherwise.
