Looks like nobody is asking so I'll just say it anyways.
The roller coaster at M&D's that derailed is called Tsunami and it was built by a now defunct Italian manufacturer called Pinfari. I believe this happened because Pinfari was known for their shoddy manufacturing and poor use of materials on their rides.
The track that Pinfari uses is very weak and it's been known to bend, warp and break on many occasions. Only carnivals will buy their rides because they are cheap, however they are rough and that is why people don't like riding them.
The wheel assembly on Pinfari coasters is basic, three wheels on three sides of the track. However coasters if you want them to be smooth can't have any clearance between the rail and the wheel. Pinfari coasters aren't built with computer technology so they are hand-welded and built so the train will shake and shuffle as it goes around.
The bottom line is, Pinfari was an unreliable manufacturer and that M&D's is a shithole that can only afford shoddy rides.
