Its not going to be that bad, pound probably wont get any worse than it did initially, and the absolute worst scenario for british trade is they pay current price +/- EU tariffs.
The above will only happen if the EU decides to actively "punish" britain, which is possible but I think unlikely. Nobody in authority wants trade to be disrupted more than absolutely necessary.
Most likely scenario I can see is that basically nothing will change. UK stays part of the common market, will still be subject to EU regulation and will have to accept free movement of people, but they will no longer get a say in EU law
