Can someone please explain to me how this works? Polls are supposed to be from a limited number of individuals, therefore when one candidate goes up shouldn't the other go down? How could it be that Trump and Hillary are both gaining ground on each other? just makes no sense.

Never trust polls, look at Brexit, remain was suposed to win with 10%.
