You have to look at history and modern Afghanistan for the link between homosexuality and pedophilia.

Pedophilia is a rare condition. If you are looking to draw conclusions about pedophiles, it would make sense to study known pedophiles. In all likelihood their sample size was too small to draw any statistically significant conclusions.
It also seems like they have taken the null hypothesis to be that "homosexuals are more likely to be pedophiles", then found insufficient evidence to reject their null. In reality the null hypothesis in a well designed study should generally be that the population of interest has no association with the phenomena.
Given it is such a poorly designed study, I would not trust its conclusions.
