Well like I said I was serving time for all of the charges at once. Basically I was around 27 or 28 living in a hippie commune and we were all full of LSD, ecstasy, weed and some other drugs. We were living under this really crazy asshole named Greg. I was high at the time on a cocktail of drugs and had some booze as well and got it in my mind to assrape the person i was living with. Basically got really crazy and they called out the cops and I took some swings at him with a machete and ran off into the woods and hid. Also had a shotgun that was cut off too short under my bed in the shack so they got me for that too

The next level up is moving the platters to a new spindle and reading them that way. You're probably looking at several thousand dollars for this, and a certified clean room, something not in the budget for most county and state po'po', but definitely in the budget for federal po'po'.
Last is recovering data from a damaged platter. Theoretically it's possible to read it by manually dragging an electron microscope type tech across a shattered or buckled platter, but unless you're obama bin laden tier internationally famous, I don't think you have to worry. My family and me are migrants from Poland. My father told me when he was young in the Polish SSR he got drunk as fuck and passed out on the street somewhere. During the night the police in eastern Europe takes drunk people to jail to sober out regularly so they don't freeze to death/get robbed/eaten by cannibals.
So he wakes somewhere in a cell with 30 other people with his head exploding and his mouth dry as fuck. I'm sure you can imagine the atmosphere in the cell where 30 people are all enjoying the sensation of waking up from of wodka induced sleep. While everyone is trying to not die, there's some weird western guy who also ended up in a cell in Poland for some reason. My father assumes he is a foreign visitor like a journalist or something who wanted to prove that he can drink as much as the slavs. Obviously they never can and end up in the cell.
While everyone is just trying not to fucking die or throw up this guy asks where he can get something to eat, cause he is hungry. Now mind you during that time in Poland there was martial law enacted. Most people ignore him but two guys think he isn't serious and tell him to knock on the cell door and ask for a piece of cake and some hot coffee, since he is hungry. So the guy knocks on the door and everyone goes into 'do it faggot' mode. The vision slit opens and some guard asks something I would translate as 'The fuck you want' without an expletive. Just very rude way of saying what do you want. So he says he wants some hot coffee and cake, and the guard stares at him for a second, before the vision slit closes again.
2 minutes later the door opens, 3 guys come in, 2 start beating the shit out of the westerner, the 3rd one has a hose and starts spraying him with some cold water, although it was a small hose, not a firehose or anything.
Pretty much what my dad told me. All in all life in Socialism is shit but has some interesting moments.
