They're already putting the idea of ignoring the referendum - or making people keep repeating it until they get the right results - out there, preparing the ground for the great day when we finally see that democracy doesn't exist in Britain.

It's not gonna happen. There's too many powerful vested interests with money to lose to allow a mere referendum to jeopardise the project. Why allow filthy peasants the right to dictate policy to the City?

A small price to pay to ensure that the interests of the City are catered for.

Besides I wouldn't count on it - they'll just rig the electoral system to keep them in power indefinitely if it came to that.

Perhaps, but lets assume they can't rig it enough or they end up losing, then what they can do is orchestrate a run on the pound, collapse in house prices, recession and panic. Within a week or two people would start to get cold feet once their savings and pensions disappeared, and they'll offer a "2nd referendum" which they'll hope to win. We're already seeing the beginning stages of a run on sterling - this is a political orchestrated attack on the currency to frighten people and strengthen Cameron's hand in getting people scared enough to vote Remain. That could go a lot further if the British people make the wrong choice.

They could just outright ignore the referendum - they would prepare a statement for the Queen to read on TV, where they point out that legally referendums are not binding and can be overruled at the royal perogative. They would argue it would be a catastrophic national disaster and refuse to implement it - if everyone's house prices started to collapse and people's pensions were getting rinsed then you can promise it'll change enough votes to keep us in.

Failing that, they might accept the outcome of the vote, but just continue to pass legislation that is exactly in line with the EU - so they'll pass legislation that says you can have free movement of people, even outside the EU, and that we'll accept EU regulatory standards and so on. That depends on Cameron being able to stay on instead of Boris and co long enough to oversee it - he might require help from other parties (DUP, Blairites and Lib Dems) if his majority is destroyed by Tory defectors.

Very interesting to see this all take place. But I have no doubt that no matter what the outcome of the vote the people's will is going to be ignored in favour of the interests of capitalism.
>>
>>76307628
yeah, one of their best orators on at a time nobody will be watching. it's bad for UKIP too, they'll want to capitalise on the momentum from this referendum but now nobody will be watching the party leader make his stand.

Let me let you in on a little secret. I've always been pretty pro Europe for a variety of reasons but mainly because my family on one side originate from a northern part of it. The other side are John Browns as far as you can go back.

When the vote was called I knew I was voting IN.

When the campaign began I cringed and said "well it's for the best to be in."

This far in.... I'm out lads. The In campaign has run a bloody awful campaign so awful that even if I want to vote in I feel like I morally can't let them get away with the scaremongering that they're perpetrating.

I ain't the only one. Believe me there are people at my work who were staunchly in who because of the way the campaign has been run are now firmly out.

If the vote is remain it's been rigged.

the consequences are pretty much this
>we don't know, nobody really does
The EU can't punish us, as there are a number of laws and treaties saying they can't.
We would have to negotiate new rates for trading with the EU
We could negotiate with others outside of the EU and get our own rates instead of having the ones for the whole EU
The elected government will decide our laws for us

The only worry from those in the EU is that it will cause others to have their own referendums, meaning that germany will probably end up bank rolling other countries and bribing Turkey not to let IS in.

My personal worry is that Dave Cameron will fuck us over if we do leave, he knows he isn't running for PM again and has a nice PM pension waiting for him when he leaves, I think he will try and make a tidy nest egg with the EU one way or another.

As much as I like the Nigel crowd, I don't think Leave needs them, for the reasons I've already said: The UKIP crowd are already on board. We'd risk preaching the the choir.

Boris has been in the news recently with his own scare-stories about how much we'd lose by stayign in the EU.
Whether this is factually right or not, it is an interesting tactic. You read the headlines: "Boris says EU costing every family ____" and stuff like that, and it straight away puts the Remain side on the back foot.

I think this is Boris' first big hit of the campaign. If he were to do this in the vote week, Leave could win.

Yeah I like it. Never had to worry about being able to afford treatment, free at the point of use, paid for out of a progressive taxation. It's budget is generally very good - far better in terms of per-capita spending than practically any other country and without any less in overall health outcomes.

It's got a lot worse the last 3 or 4 years since the Tories got in, which happens nearly every time the Tories get in cos they are in principle opposed to it and get a lot of their money from companies that would stand to benefit from it.

The EU was set up explicitly on an explicitly liberal, market-based, capitalist basis.

Keith Chegwin backs Brexit in interview with Bingo website

>The Cheggers Plays Pop legend and sometime Shakespearian actor said he was frustrated that so much British money went to Europe, and we didn't get a great deal back.

>He told mFortune Bingo: "I’m Brexit! There you go. I’m honest about it. The only reason being is because, yes, we can stay in and renegotiate new terms. But I think it’s always better to shut the door, then open it again and agree better terms.

>“So let’s come out and agree a better deal for our United Kingdom. It just seems that there’s a lot of money going to Europe, and it doesn’t seem like there’s that much coming back. So let’s leave, and let’s create a new contract.”

Could you rephrase that so it makes sense?

The entire British establishment wanted in since British capitalism understands, as it has since the 1950's and the death of the Empire, there no future for it outside of the EU.

He is a eurosceptic and has been quite open about it for a long time. He's a Bennite they're all Eurosceptic. He's just keeping a low profile cos he doesn't want to campaign alongside Tories who he despises and cos he wants to sit back and enjoy seeing the Tories tear each other apart.

Jeremy Corbyn is anti-eu, so is John McDonnell. They've been that way since the 1970's. They are avoiding any campaigning and leaving it all to Tom Watson and Harriet Harman, because they don't actually believe in the EU and they'll be very happy if and when we leave. There's strategic reasons for running a half-hearted campaign to stay in. That's his best option.

Has leave had a single remain counterargument to the fact that, inevitable economic shit occurring from whatever we vote aside, we'll have literal years to sort shit out before we sever ties?

The implication that a leave vote will sever all ties instantly is simply ludicrous, and I assume that it's what they believe, because that's the only sort of event that would cause the Economic cataclysm that they keep referencing.
The market is pretty durable overall, and unless our diplomats are drunk chavs trying to bum fags off other countries during negotiations, the idea that we have no other options to explore within the years of phasing is too stupid to believe.

I suspected it was due to Denis's tribalist past - he had always been a loyal dog to labour, and as we all know, the EU bought labour out - it doesn't matter if it's New Labour or Corbyn's Labour, both turned their back to the Labour of past yet the latter is far better at pretending to be principled. I wouldn't believe a word from McDonnell's mouth since his laughably pathetic attempt to appease to Irish Republicanism, which he had to back-pedal on multiple times.

Leave is being run very, very badly. Andrew Neil said on the Daily Politics last week that 80% of new jobs go to foreigners. If they had on man constantly shouting this, we would be brexit already
>>

Adding to that maybe we could make it a rebeling fashion statement to wear /out/ shirts.
Some skilled anon should try and whip up something. Becuase a bunch of neck-beards would only get negative attention.

Use some phy-ops or something.

I pray they're saving this for the last week of campaigning. If they (Boris, Nige, Gove, Patel) all saying this simultaneously it would make front page news across all platforms

People seem to think the very second after we vote to leave (if we vote to leave) some kind of huge wall goes up between us and the EU..

Well I guess you will be waiting a long time then mate. About 6 billion years should do it.

That oldish woman who is often debating for Leave, I forget her name, made that point this morning on BBC, how German manufacturers would throw a fit if Merkel did anything to stop them trading with us.

Corbyn and Skinner are both old Bennite pals, both members of the same parliamentary faction (Socialist Campaign Group) whose eurosceptic views are well known

If the ignore the referendum (in the case of a brexit) then that would cause huge civil backlash and maybe even some riots. Either way, Oh happenings happening soon :^)

Brexit causes the Apocalypse
Turns out the EU was the only thing holding Satan's country, Britain, back
>>
>>76312886
But it is.
It's easy to shake, but hard to break. Shit tends to look terrible when we're living through it, but hindsight shows we never had it truly bad.
The only reason we'd face economic catastrophe is if the Brexit was one thing in a line of others; it would never be the sole cause.

If Satan himself manifested to further his machinations via the support of Leave, I'd still vote leave for the simple reason that at least the horned fuck was being honest with us.
