If it actually turned out to be true that the Mexican government was behind this, it would be considered an act of war. Not that we'd go to war with Mexico over this but there would have to be dire consequences or it would tell every other country in the world that they incite violence inside the United States. Obama would be put in a difficult spot because failure to do anything about a foreign government creating internal strife would be actual grounds for impeachment. No matter how much he hates Trump, he simply couldn't side with the Mexican government against the US.

Suggestion and buy some cheap riot sheilds. You can cover any police markings with Trump signs, or if there aren't that many available, get some 1/2" plywood, paint a sign on it, and bolt a handle to the back. You can cover the front with a layer of foam to make sure that nobody hurts their hands punching it/help absorb blows.
I think I would prefer the plywood sheild. It would give the first impression of being a sign.
