They know those never work, right? Trolling has become a mainstream meme word for "being mean online". People are always mean, regardless online or not. Never gonna change.
>>

The whole point of the card is so they can find you easily and tick you off the list of constituency voters, you give them it before they give you the ballot.

You don't need it (but it's a little more effort for them to find you) but being sent one means you are registered to vote.

Can I get a tl;dr on the tory election fraud please? At work
>>
>>75644229
Thanet tory council used an extra 8k of expenses or summit during the elections when they weren't technically allowed to. Might have done the same in a couple of extra boroughs.

Hardly a consipracy that would have turned the election, but meager dodgy dealings are still dodgy dealings nonetheless.

>Channel 4 are leaked a series of hotel bills by disgruntled activists
>The Tories spent £10,000+ on hotels in South Thanet for activists, and didn't declare them
>They claimed that they were national expenditures, but this is bullshit given the nearest other swing seat was a 2 hour drive away
>They spent almost £30,000 in total, over twice the legal limit
>Another activist leaks the Conservative internal timetable, which proves that many ministers like Boris Johnson campaigned in the seat but did not declare their expenses
>Meanwhile, it is found that the Conservatives used a Battle bus to transport activists to campaign in swing seats, but declared it as national spending
>This is technically legal, but dodgy because they were helping specific candidates
>Electoral commission refuse to investigate, saying it is a criminal investigation
>10 police forces announce they will be investigating the expenses
>Conservatives agree to comply with the investigations in all seats, EXCEPT South Thanet
>When Kent police apply for an extension of the investigation deadline, they find a team of the country's best lawyers hired by the Tories trying to stop them

A hearing will be held tomorrow to decide whether the investigation can go ahead

If the expenses can be linked to the Tory MP rather than just rogue activists, he'll be found guilty of having breached Section 2 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 and disqualified

Then there would be a by-election, which given the Tory civil war and anger after the EU referendum would certainly by won by Nige

>O'Brien
Every fucking time.

Seriously that column was pretty cancerous. As an American with some understanding of American politics it's worth noting that the Washington Post is the mouthpiece of the Democratic party establishment.

More to his point that Brexit will make Britain poorer. He dismisses Norway's trade deal and thinks Britain will get shafted based on really nothing. Even more to his point what value is independence? I would rather live in a self governing third world country than a wealthy vassal state. Pat Buchanan said it better than I ever could.

>God-and-country, blood-and-soil people, they want to live with their own kinfolk, their own kind. They do not believe in economics uber alles. And if democracy will not deliver the kind of country and society they wish to live in, then democracy must be trumped by direct action, by secession.

>This is the spirit behind Brexit.

>The is the spirit that drove the Irish patriots of 1919, who rose against British rule, though they were departing the greatest empire on earth in its moment of supreme glory after the Great War, to begin life among the smallest and poorest countries in all of Europe.

Britain would retain the same trade deals it has now. Countries that aren't state capitalist don't really trade with one another, companies in those countries do. Those deals will still stand unless EU countries' governments announce boycots and specifically ban trade, which they wont do.

The only thing the EU has is their tarrif wall, which can be negotiated away by (re)joining the European Economic Zone.

Besides, Britain exports fuck all to the rest of the EU anyway. They import a lot more. It's the country best suited for an exit, really. It doesn't use the Euro either.

My country will be truly fucked though. Like 80% of our exports go to Germany.

By having a thriving selection of international territories (we kind of still do but not enough); bringing manufacturing back to the UK; putting more money and recruitment into our armed forces; promoting patriotism; and becoming a world trade power again like we used to be, chiefly by fighting people for trade routes and menacing them if they come near

It'll never happen chap. And it doesn't matter -- it already happened and we became great for it. We literally decided what would happen in world history and to this day our presence is still felt.

At the moment I'm content with leaving the EU and bringing manufacturing back to the UK

Who knows, lad. We live in turbulent times, and I can't imagine things are going to get better as the century progresses. So long as Britain can position itself well before hand, reclaiming sovereignty, industry and the military, there might yet be a future for Britain as a world power.

We'll see, anyway. So long as we weather the storm there'll always be opportunities for Britain.

Spoke to a black Portuguese possibly fag on the bus once.

He was very knowledgeable about the moor and bull taming . He said the Spanish were pussies and after 100 of years they still can't conquer Portugal cos you always tell em to fuck off. He also said how white is better and Iberia in general always felt that.

Was a genuinely nice bloke if I'm honest. He knew his history and was probably a pol lurker. He hated Muslims and the Spanish and wanted Britain and Portugal to work together because that was the best time in their history.

We need you.

True, but it won't hurt to have a new export markets set up. Since a lot of our exports are agricultural, regional partners would be best.

Best case scenario for a Nexit would be us leaving in tandem with a few other countries who decide to help each other out with good mutually beneficial deals to lessen the economic impact.

But a temporary loss of Germany will hurt a lot, no mistake about it. Since Germany benefits most from the EU and many of its chief cultists are Germans, they'll likely stall our talks to rejoin the EU trade zone to make us suffer economically via tarrifs and bolster pro-EU parties in our countries.

They'll do the same to you of course but it will matter far less.

I think you're right on this call. They're legislating to make it look like they're doing something.
Half of the acts that come out of the Scottish parliament are just restatements of abilities the parliament already has or making offences out of things which are already offences.

>>75647926
Who knows, they don't even seem to comprehend the fact that only non-criminals are going to hand their air """"weapons"""" in anyway.
Nor the fact that the legislation would ban blowpipes if they had a trigger on them, since you can shoot a dart out of them with more than 1J muzzle energy.

One of my mates shot me with an air rifle when I was 12. You pull the pellet out and it scabs over, not even worth a single fucking stitch.

Honestly, our country is so retarded sometimes. Yes, a .22 air rifle 'could' kill someone...if you aimed it at their temple, point blank. But so could a housebrick. In fact, if you were to ask me to murder someone and gave me a .22 air rifle, and a cricket bat....I'd use the bat. So much easier.

Ban cricket bats!

Britain will get better deals than Norway ever could because Germany needs access to Britain's market for their export industry. If you are seriously voting Yes to leaving, based SOLELY on the memes and information you find on safespaces and hugboxes such as here or /pol/, I am not being facetious when I tell you to reconsider you life choices.

Not to say you shouldn't vote leave, just do your own damn research you dense cunts. I bet that some twat is going to reply telling me he has, and here is my pre-emptive rebuttal; no, no you have not. Circlejerking on highly cherry picked data that is spread around this site like AIDS in Africa is not good enough, you must actively and constantly seek opposing views and opinions and challenge your initial prejudices.

I am telling you this because I am scared, scared that people are actually going to the ballot box -voting Yes or No- based on memes. I suspect that this will get fedoraquoted and receive a barrage of meaningless replies, but please, PLEASE THINK.

I'm flying home for the vote

I hate Farage and think Boris is a neocon plant who's there just to accept defeat without a stink.

I was voting IN but after all the propaganda and lies they push I have been swayed to vote LEAVE.

I fucking hate them all, especially those fucking traitors Corbyn and Brown. We need a complete change in politics in the UK. All fucking sides are trying to make us stay in the EU.

There are 2 side to the Labour Party. On one side you have the Blairites/neocon/neoliberal and on the other you have what's left of the socialist/marxist/radical left.. And both fucking sides are pushing hard for this globalist state.

What's the most realistic possibility for the acquisition by Britain of foreign territories over the course of the century?
>>
>>75649812
Have you actually educated yourself on the running and institutions of the EU though? Have you actually sought out the reality on your own? I suggest you google up something like I dunno "Is the EU democratic", and look at both sides of the argument.

>>75649883
Apologising if my wording was clear, but I was talking about UKIP support such as "are nige" was a meme. Would you care to challenfe me on any of the other dozen points I made? I would truly be grateful, I love my viewpoints being taken from me. It helps me grow as a person, you should try it.

>>75649909
No I am not arguing from a standopoint that remain is right, I am arguing from a(s best I can a) neutral standpoint. Up until 2 days I ago I was firmly on the Leave side. I'm just scared that ANYONE is having their opinions decided for them. It is just as bad as when Pakis all drive up to the Ballot stations and not even knowing what they're doing.

>>75650128
I admit that I was a bit callous, and I admit that the border security of the EU needs to be improved. HOWEVER, is that enough for a leave vote? Is that enough weight to level against the ENORMOUS data and the COUNTLESS experts that support the EU? Then again there is data and are experts that supports exit.

>>75650222
I think only one well regarded data prediction has actually set for Muslims to become a minority. Correct me if I'm wrong, but almost all others tell us their growth will come to the same level as everyone else.

>>75650258
No I didn't, I said voting leave based on bullshit is WRONG. I wouldn't mind if you voted Leave because you hated Eastern Europeans, or you were very nationalistic (what had me on the leave side up until now).

Democratic has a very clear cut definition, the EU doesn't meet the criteria of the definition. There is no argument to be had.

Yes, I have.

Democracy requires separation of powers. The commission has the powers of both an executive and a legislature, and it's unelected to boot. This is practically dictatorial. This is one of the many democratic deficits involved in the EU because it was designed purposefully to remove power from the people.

Ok, let's not be nasty, I'll trust that you are actually on the fence and not lying. I'll try to explain why I want to leave without a single meme.

If you're a principled man, I hold that you should value democracy and sovereignty over economic risk. With the reasoning that any man of virtue should believe that it is better to live a day as a free man than a lifetime as a slave.

If you want your vote at the general election to mean anything you will vote to leave, as no meaningful change can happen in government while we are a member of the EU.

>In b4 the EU is democratic

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/8895003/New-Italian-government-does-not-include-a-single-elected-politician.html

The EU has ultimate power over our government, to deny that is to deny reality.
>>
who here is pro brexit?
>>
>>75650995
Slim.
We're in NATO, are a nuclear power, are an island, and are part of the five eyes.

The closest we would get is if Russia decided to fuck up Europe and the military alliance got steamrolled, and we had terms of surrender dictated to us. But that won't happen.

>>75651085
>It is just as bad as when Pakis all drive up to the Ballot stations and not even knowing what they're doing.
No it's not. Britons voting for British policies in Britain is normal. Pakistanis voting for Pakistani interests in Britain is not. The reason for one doesn't matter -- the reason for the other does.

>HOWEVER, is that enough for a leave vote? Is that enough weight to level against the ENORMOUS data and the COUNTLESS experts that support the EU?
Yes it is.

Even taken alone it's a reason to vote. On top of how badly we're getting fucked in trade and our fisheries being depleted by anyone who wants them, it's even more of a reason. And the fact we are being ruled by faceless unelected bureaucrats who can overrride parliament. Who dictate who we can and cannot accept in our own country. What we can and cannot sell. Who we can and cannot sell to. The EU is diminishing our rights to national self determination. A return to national democracy is only good for all of us.
If you want to buy a house you vote out. House prices would only continue to rise if we have more EU and non-EU migrants pouring into the UK.

Now you got what you wanted you little desk-job analyst pos

Not me I'm definitely voting for Britain to remain a member of the EU. We must secure our future in Europe. We're stronger together. The direction the EU will take over the next decades is ultimately the future. Brexit is the past. We must become a supercultural superpower. A state of 500,000,000, young, diverse, empowered peoples. Europe is for everyone.

I am 80% pro brexit, probably going to vote brexit but I am concerned that workers rights would be massively eroded without the EU safety net (such as minimum annual leave, max hours etc). However, every pro Brexit person I speak to acts like there would be zero downside in any respect. That simply isn't and can't be true. It makes me think they live in a fantasy land, that they can't be trusted and just blame MUH EU RED TAPE

So, what downsides do you think there will be if brexit is achieved? I don't want good points (as I know and agree with the majoirty), just what will be not as good than if we stayed
