Doesn't really seem to fit this definition of socialism:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism
>>
>>70265065
Socialism is a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership and democratic control of the means of production;[7] as well as the political ideologies, theories, and movements that aim at their establishment.[8] Social ownership may refer to forms of public, cooperative, or collective ownership; to citizen ownership of equity; or to any combination of these.[9] Although there are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them,[10] social ownership is the common element shared by its various forms

Not him, but the idea that a society pays for the healthcare of the elderly, thus owning it and eventually partaking in it seems to fit pretty well. Though I might be an idiot and welcome someone to call me out and correct me.

>>70265278
Well, Socialism is anything that /pol/ doesn't like, while "right wing" systems are everything /pol/ likes
>>
>>70264917
Also always remember that Boomers typically counter with "Well I put my money so I'm just withdrawing it back" argument.

Which is wrong. Even if you assume no inflation-investing etc they are receiving more than they gave. Young people are basically subsidizing the difference with the taxes.

>>70265463
Basically this. They really do try very hard to not label certain policies they like a socialistic/anti free market.
>>
>>70265278
How are the means of production owned in those examples?
>>
>>70265734
They own the services provided to them by medicare. Its not an exact substitute but it seems like op isn't entirely wrong.

I thought the Jews were the boogeyman here, followed by liberals, mass media, normalfags, and finally their parents for cutting their allowances.
>>
>>70265710
I think this is something different.

Rather than right-wingers liking X but not liking socialism, and so not calling X socialism, this is socialists liking socialism and so putting that label on X things that people like in order to sell socialism.

Then, once people have accepted the label "socialism," they will be more willing to accept real socialism, where the means of production and private property are taken over by the state.

OK, so the services are like a product, so rather than the state owning the "means of production," they own the product of production. But in socialism, the state owns the "means of production," not the resulting product or service itself.
>>
>>70266317
No, in socialism, the people, via their elected representatives, own the means of production. And the benefits from it are distributed, in this case, healthcare.

People get benefit from healthcare because they OWN the the healthcare, they pay for it with taxes.

presence of a few socialist programs =/= socialism
>>
>>70266235
The problem is that people are too stupid to state their beliefs, and instead associate themselves with broad general groups such as left or right, republican democrat. Then its taken one step further and generalized into two groups, republican and democrat. All of the contradictory characteristics of each group are lumped together in a hodgepodge shitfuck of ideals, which people then proudly wear as their sole identifier. And its not just the right-wingers that do it, its the left too. Not all democrats are SJW hipster socialist young-adults living with mom and dad, but since that's the current vocal majority, that's what they're seen as. We need to bring an end to this oversimplification of political ideals, and that for one is one of the reasons I support Trump

So socialism would be more like the state owning the hospital, which is the means of production of the service health care. I guess in the case of the VA this is what happens.

What about the courts? They provide the services of justice for everyone equally, regardless of tax payments. So are they socialist too?

In fact, once you start defining socialism this way, unequal contributions but equal services, it seems that every part of the government is "socialist." What part of government wouldn't fit under this broader definition of "socialism"?

Questions for a turkish guy:

Wasn't Ergogan arrested for inciting hate in a mosque?

And i heard that the army was planning to stage a coup vs Erdogan, but the americans didn't allowed it. Is it true?

Are there anymore greek minorities in Turkey? And armenians? And Assyrians?

>I thought the Jews were the boogeyman here

Jews are the main preponents of Socialism, and are always behind it, according to stormfags.

I aggree with you. Your identitarian politics are really fucked up. They are tryong to do the same in my country. But why are you supporting Trump? Why do you think he will "bring an end to this oversimplification of political ideals"?

TIL you can only have full socialism or no socialism. Everything is a dichotomy. Good to know.

Trump lives in the center of politics, which is why everyone hates him. He doesn't have a strong affiliation with either side, economically hes conservative, socially hes liberal, and whats more he believes that the current system is fucked up beyond all repair. His entire campaign is a joke, hes trying to get anyone who cant see through him to vote for him, because anyone who can can see the truth about him and likely will vote for him anyway. It also helps that his ideologies align with my own, but even the ones we don't line up on I can respect him for holding.
