Sounds a bit like the "freeman on the land" and the kinds of people who thinks that magic words known only to lawyers give the state power over individuals, where it wouldn't otherwise exist if you didn't naively "consent" to giving them magic power through hidden contracts. The fact is, no individuals were ever vested with such involable powers as these people think; that was always just propaganda fed to the masses in modern "democracies" to make them think that had freedoms and "rights".
