Friend, it's not that I am unhappy, but Iwonder about a few things:

1: Why didn't the SAA close the exit before destroying the pocket?
2; Zooming a bit out on the map, the pocket isn't that big compared to the remaining enclave. How long will it take to eliminate the whole thing, if that even is the goal?

The main reason, SAA (well, mainly NDF) could advance so fast now is because there are two rebel groups inside Ghouta and they are currently fighting each other.

I don't think Ghouta is a top priority to start an offensive so future progress will be slow.

1) it seems to be a relatively new form of russian tactics used in ukraine conflict as well.

If you close of the pocket the remaining fighters have no hope to get out alive, so they fight fiercly to the end - you loose a lot of valuable soldiers. If you leave a narrow opening you give them a way out and some probably make it, but many many will be sniped down in that shooting gallery or grinded by arty. Still they choose this path - you might not get as many enemy fighters, but you loose very few of your own compared to the losses you inflict.

2) see 1) they chipped off a piece by taking the helicopter base and narrowed it from the other side, then they used the above mentioned tactics. now rinse and repeat.

takes a long time, but SAA has manpower problems, soldiers are hard to replace so they choose the cautious approach.

Just wanted to get this out there.

Why can't we as citizens stand up together against isis/terrorism in general?

I have an idea that could potentially protect civilians and worst case scenario, drain their resources and waste their time.

We get people to group as extremist muslims believing in their religion or ways. Kinda a trojan horse maneuver or wolf in sheeps clothing(more like sheep in wolfs clothing).

Anyways, we contact them and inform agencies if necessary and ask for assistance for terrorism. We must make the media go ape shit crazy on this grouping thus not having it publicly known that it is fake and we must build up credibility by perhaps months of intrudership. We gain intel or assignments to attack places in for example Europe. We get resources, drain their time and get weapons for protection.

Also, even if this movement gets exposed as fake, other REAL extremist movements that exist will have less credibility and will not be trusted as easily. Thus resulting in buying the world time to destroy isis.

If people have ideas or are interested, or anyone wanting to see isis destroyed, let's make a thread and puzzle ideas, we must stand up as people, no matter where in the world.

There is a saying that once someone has nothing left, they will start fighting and revolting. Why should we wait for that moment to happen? Why not stand up now and revolt as humanity against corrupted politicians and these isis bastards? Let's do this.

First thing we should have is the rights for self protection with firearms in any country threatened by the terror of isis.

Webster's definition states that the word régime refers simply to a form of government,[1] while Oxford English Dictionary defines regime as "a government, especially an authoritarian one".[2]

It's not as if the average American supports ISIS.

There's a feeling of helplessness among the American people right now. No matter who you vote for, every candidate is a dishonest politician who will serve big business and spit in the face of the common man.

Part of the reason why Trump is so popular is because he represents SOMETHING other than the status quo. A vote for trump is nothing more than a vote for upheaval of this hopeless situation where everybody with any hope for power is hiding a sociopathic nature behind a polite facade.

Of course, Trump is a liar too, but he at least brings an element of chaos to this unhealthy structure.

That's the same exact outlook if your currency fails and the rest of the world starts using SDR 2.0 or some other basket currency. Your trade deficit will explode if your only floating force is removed.

On the other hand there's not much that can be done about it other than going after anyone opposing your monetary order. A second national currency (like WIR in Switzerland) could ease the transition.

So if it's even Iraqi shia people, who say iranians were in the crowd, attacking the police, would you say it's a credible claim? I thought shias in Iraq and Iran were buddies.

Are there any rumors in your area about what the Kurds are going to do, if Muqtada as-Sadr stages a coup d'etat ? In your oppinion, will anything like that incerase Kurd vs. Sunni vs. Shia to the extend of a fullblown civil war like in Syria ?

well in 2000`s some al-qaeda linked groups have formed in Baluchistan Pakistan. in 2007-9 they carried some terrorist attacks in Sistan and Baluchistan in Iran and ran back inside Pakistan boarders.
we contacted pakistani government they said we cant control our boarders with Iran since we are busy in east with our boarders with India but you cant enter our country to get these terrorists .
so what we did, WE HAVE BUILD A WALL with fortifications and heavy surveillance since then and started a spying war on them where ever they stayed we were there too.
finally cough their main leader when he was flying from dubai to afghanistan. we landed his plane while it was crossing our air and after he confess in trial we hanged him.

actually these guys were not just more than some wannabes and their groups are so weak and small.
since their leaders get cough fast they cant move a finger against us.their last leader was this guy in this pic.
moral of the story dont try to carry suicide bombing in our soil (or in Paris , Brussels, turkey, list goes on...) because you will get cough and you will get punished.

>"We do not collaborate or coordinate with the Russians on any operations in Syria," Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis told reporters, explaining that Washington and Moscow have separate military objectives.

>US Armed Forces likely to be deployed to Libya

>The U.S. government is on the verge of closing a deal that would require a long-term commitment of troops to war-torn Libya in order to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).

>“There’s a lot of activity going on underneath the surface,” Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters traveling with him back from NATO headquarters in Brussels.

>“There will be a long-term mission in Libya,” the nation’s top general said, according to The Washington Post. “We’re just not ready to deploy capabilities yet because there hasn’t been an agreement. And frankly, any day that could happen.”

simpletons logic everywhere is the same.
they dont bother to understand the system and laws and they get frustrated and think the war and destruction of whole system is the answer.

I hope trump wins in this election. he can be so inspiring for people.
as an outsider he understood the system better than anyone else and now is using the rules of the same system that in his own word is rigged to his benefit and he is gaining power.

both sides has levers in this scenario.
if trump get elected this means people gave him power and support his policies and he is allowed to push for his promised policies through laws and other tools that the president of united states has.

and capitalist guys have so much money therefore power and information that can effect success or failure of his effort.

so its a balance, which this will lean toward its too hard to predict there are too many things that can happen, doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

and Trump is an artist in this situations. so in way there are a lot of similarities between sides here.

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad appointed Major General Salim Harba on Friday to lead the government forces in the northern region of Syria after a long tenor with the Republican Guard.

Major General Harba is a veteran officer that has served in the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) for over three decades before receiving his promotion on Friday.

Known as an adept battlefield strategist, Major General Harba will be headquartered in Aleppo City, where he will work in the special command room with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Russian Marines.

Do you have any clay disputes with Pakistan and how's the general relationship between your two countries?
I know there are some disputes over some islands between Iran and the UAE. That combined with the UAE's alliance with Saudi makes the relationship quite bad. Luckily I visited Iran (Kish) before travels to there got banned for me.

but these al-Qaeda related groups story is another thing. I guess they have been funded too bring terror in that part of our country in hope that maybe our sunni brothers follow them and start an uprising. but their ideas were empty and noone followed them. there are too many good projects undergoing in our Sistan Baluchistan and also good infrastructure healthcare so why anyone should kick all these aside and follow a death cult?

everything will go back to normal actually UAE`s sheikhs are more reasonable and people are very progressive and smart compared to what is going on in Saudi family. just look at what their deputy crown prince is doing. his economic reform is being laughed at. >>
Also, while here, should say that I've been reading a bunch of different books lately that give a true perspective of just how much the Iraq war (at least on the Shia end) was a proxy war between Iran's Qud's force and the US.

Apparently, the military leaders were reluctant to even pass this info up the chain to Bush, bc they knew the crazy fucker would trigger a war where the US would then be fucking Iran and Hezbollah in addition to al-Zarqawi's Sunni types and Sadr's Shia militias being trained by Quds, who wereeven doing DA in some instances (like the 13 or so US soldiers they kidnapped using false IDs and stolen SUVs and killed the all).

I am not a Turk though, i am Kurdish, not that being Turk is better is worse.

Erdogan is pragmatic, first and foremost, at least he used to be. He relies on the support of pious sunnis that have a inferiority complex and average erdogan voter isn't brightest bunch. He have firm hand on media, like a media mogul. He dictates pretty much everything they print or say. Erdogan's inner support comes from 2 pillar. First it is economical success of his early days and second is his opposition is pretty terrible. In 7th June, his opposition had upper hand, but MHP(Basically ultra nationalist party) refused coalition with others. A notion of state for Turks is sacred and he exploits it perfectly. He exploits by telling that everyone who oppose him either with state or those terrorists. Special Forces(basically bunch of turk nationalists and islamists soldiers or both) conduct their jobs with impunity. Sure they kill some goatfucker peasant kurdish terrorist guerillas or whatever, but mostly they kill civilians there. It seems better for Turkey, for now, but you know, nothing lasts forever. Yesterday, they lifted immunity of MPs, and pro-Kurdish party will probably get banned. All this might work for Erdogan, but i am afraid it won't work for Turkey, they had perfect chance for lasting peace but both sides, mostly Erdogan, fucked it up.

tl;dr he might seems strong and shit, but he is basically sowing another civil war in his country. I will vote for him or support him though, as i believe in accelerationism.

#1, by far-- Relentless Strike-- A secret history of JSCO. The NY times have actually done about 4 articles on the info in there since it came out last summer, his degree of access and detail was amazing..

#2- tough call, all are at best mediocre. Either "ISIS:Inside the Army of Terror" or one of Peter Bergen's books (not his latest one "United States ofJihad, that's cucked) or "The way of the Knife" which is..so so.

But "Relentless Strike" by Sean Naylor is fucking amazing. It gives a level of detail and quotes the top people involved on the record, and exposes things I never even knew were going on.

Seriously, get that one today from Amazon (either pdf version or the audio) and you will not be able to put it down..

REEE ...Relentless Strike: The Secret History of the Joint Special Operations Command." So it should have been JSOC.

As you get into it, you will not believe with Delta Force and Seal 6 were capable of as far as technology and other stuff.

Their computer hacking abilities, just as described in the book...all the unites they have in support like "the Army of Northrn Virginia, also known as "Grey Fox," who were the ones who caused the power outage that night in Abottabad...or "Echo Squadron," a secret part of Delta Force that puts weapons on planes that look like private planes and that probably shot down flight 93 in PN.

It just lets you into an entire world you never even knew existed.

BAsically agree on some of your points, but I really think he is overplaying his hand in Europe, for example insisting the German comedian be prosecuted and arrested for making fun of him.

HE may have Merkel over a barrel, but all this shit trickles down and no Brits are going to want to spent time in Turkey.

also, were it not for him, Kurds would already have a truly autonomous state in Northern Iraq. Which obviously, he is petrified of bc of hoe violent the Kurd commies are there.

He's done the EU an immense favor though in the long run, bc I have to believe something will give between the time in June when they are allowed visa-free entry into the EU (and will dump all their Kurds) and now.

He has given the world proof that no "Secular musim" state can exist, they will always go back towards Sharia law.

Which, is fine with me. That's the big mistake of the Us and all their COIN bullshit-- these people are not going to turn away from a 1,400 year old religion that is woven into their cultural fabric to have women's rights and paganism forced on them .

Like Dr, Scheuer says, how many Marines need to die so Mrs. Mohammed can vote?

Even with Shias, the Us had the example of Iran to demonstrate this. How they fell for an Israeli ruse (or maybe they didn't fall, just the top ppl like Cheney were corrupted and most of the rest were Jews) amazes me.

Trump is truly their last hope.
>>
>>74645347
You'll like it if you get it. One of very few books I've read that completely opened an entire...I think the reason it gets so little press is bc the military and state dept are honestly terrified of it, bc it reveals all kinds of amazing things.

Are you a "native" or a Western expat? Going to guess latter since only 10% of the population there is "native," if I recall correctly and they are probably still awake.

Fun fact-- the avg native Emerati sleeps until 10:44am on weekdays
>>
>>74645650
I'm a western expat.
To be fair, they do get up to pray during the night so sleeping late isn't necessarily a sign of laziness.
It's 4:38 pm here though so most locals are probably in a mall.
>>
Another interesting book on CIa activities in foreign nation is "the Way of the Knife" by Mark Mazeretti, but it's no where close to as good as "Relentless Strike" just in sheer detail and the author's access to every high up in JSOC and describing techniques I can't believe they gave out..which probably means they are far more advanced now...

Had a friend, former Us Secret Service, who wen to work there for the money as head of one of the Royal family's security details.

HE was of course only the de facto head, the nominal head was a local, which lead to some fucking hilarious stories. Like the time the "local head" decided they needed a mini-gun to help protect his motorcade and the day they got it, he showed them how to use it, warned them how powerful it was and then walked away to go smoke and bullshit.

A few minutes later, he heard in his earpiece the pilots landing at the airport (which is relatively close to the range they use) were seeing tracers going by, and wanted to know WTF was happening.

HE went back to find the bus they were mean to use as target practice with the fucking tires on fire and all 6,000 rounds used up.

>finishing islam, not politically, but also theologically
I just don't share your opinion based on what I've seen, and I think it's going to get even worse.

Europe is now basically a completely post-Christian, athiestic society. Now, with million s an dmillions of muslims young males coming to the West-- the only ones with any education educated in madrassas funded by the saudis-- I think it's just going to get worse and worse until a civil war breaks out.

Fuck, look at just the last 18 months in Europe and what it has now become. At some point, the "switch" is going to get flipped, and Euro are going to turn to what we really know better than anyone else on earth-- violence. Organized violence.

And when Whites truly engage in organized violence for a purpose they believe in, the earth literally shakes and entire continents fall.

>no "Secular musim" state can exist, they will always go back towards Sharia law.
>Even with Shias, the Us had the example of Iran to demonstrate this

you also can use today's Iran as a better example for middle east, what we are experiencing here is something new in my eyes.
we have all the institutions a secular state should have and constitutions but also it merged with shia view of Islam. you may ask how it works.
when a law or a bill get passed in our Parliament it will need to pass also in a upper hand council who determine if the new law is against shia views of sharia laws or our other current legislation or not.
also sharia law is more flexible in our views to other versions I think. so in a way there is a balance here.

and for welayate faqih since it get mentioned here. although our supreme leader is 1 person
but he has to act according to laws of state and there is a big institutions behind him mad of many organizations with hand picked experts on it. for example our international relationships and strategy.

for example I can talk about our rules about transgender issue which is seems to be a problem in US.
