>Revealed: new evidence reveals greater skews in phone polls

https://yougov.co.uk/news/2016/05/20/revealed-evidence-greater-skews-phone-polls/

>Phone polls have too high a percentage of graduates – YouGov's online polls don't

So, YouGov conducted an experiment. They asked participents in the phone polls if they we're recent graduates and deduced there influence to there previlence in overall society. This lead to the polls posted below (see pic).

My question to you lads is this, should we have hope?

Ask them to think in the long run. The market might lower slightly due to the uncertainty of it all, but after a couple of years the regulations will come off and the cost of food will go down, and the cost of production will go down, too, creating more jobs and thus increasing pay.

The sovereignty argument can also be made. The greedy bureaucrats WILL NOT let their claws out of us if we stay, ever. They NEED us to fund their lifestyles and power trips.

If all else fails, appeal to the post-war British spirit. We had NOTHING then but our will, and we dragged ourselves out of it. It took a but, but we did it. Do you think they would have had it any other way? No, they sent their sons off to die for what they thought was freedom, there is no fucking way they would choose an easy life if it meant spitting in the faces of their dead boys. Why should we be any different? We will have no identity left if we stay.

If they work in the NHS or the police force then the recent cuts will be reversed somewhat with the money being taken out of the EU.
Ultimately 'not being poor' relies on what careers they have. Some businesses are heavily linked to the EU and should die however the people in those jobs obviously wont think that way.

Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God

Remember guys, if we do STAY in the E.U, don't be sad.

If that's the case, the country deserves to die, if the majority of us actually are willing to give our independence to the e.u then we simply aren't a country in which we're a proud, independent and free thinking nation.

Let's face it, the only reason we will stay in is out of fear or young people who want to go on cheap holidays, and if that's our current standing in this country, we deserve to die along with the rest of Europe.

the 2nd best

I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love:
The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.

And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,
Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
And her ways are ways of gentleness and all her paths are peace.

It'll be the exact same as what happened after the Scottish Referendum.

The first couple of weeks they'll be massive butt hurt, the losing side will likely call fowl play, some stocks will drop/rise, people will say its the biggest mistake since some historical event, and then everything will go back to how it was before. We'll probably see two or three new political parties being made with the sole policy of having another referendum so it goes in their favor, and a few senior politicians in the Conservatives will likely step down.

The SNP will likely cry if we leave the EU calling for a second referendum demanding that it's undemocratic that the UK Government rules Scotland and they will likely be denied a second referendum, for now at least.

Then may 5-10 years down the road we'll likely see the actual impact of the referendum.
>>
>>74569844
except Nige being brought into the limelight is exactly what Cameron wants because Nigel preaches to the choir as opposed to possibly expanding the audience of undecideds (who are exactly the ones needed to trigger a decisive Leave victory). This way instead of someone from Vote Leave to counter Dave and Osborne's ridiculous claims you have Nigel banging on about immigration instead, which ain't gonna win shit for votes.
>>
>>74569982
To be fair, Nigel tends to steer away from immigration because he knows the image surrounding him.

The big problem is that he's easily set off and baited into the arguement, he was making good points in that debate the other day and then immigration came up and he made a comment, then we have the lefties and the black shill turn on him, which painted him in a bad light.

This is what's going to be used during this Cameron debate desu, someone from the audience will ask a controversial question, he'll answer it and even though everyone will agree with what he says, people will brand him a racist and then crowd mentality kicks in.
>>
>>74569982

But yeah, I would have preferred Boris debating him, I think it would have secured a leave vote because he's a likeable person and Cameron knows this, which is why he refused to debate any Conservatives.

I agree though, Nigel Farage is an interesting figure which is easy to dislike
>>
>>74570256
>Nigel tends to steer away from immigraiton
Except the Saturday Guardian interview published today has him basically spelling it out that while it's all nice that Grayling etc are talking about free trade, the real issue driving the vote is immigration.

The leave campaigns are just so fucked up, god, everyone's ten different shades of fucking bumbling and incompetent. I wonder if they could have just taken Flexcit or some other decently spelt out plan, have whoever will be doing speaking spend a week just reading it and just use that as a blanket way of responding instead of bojo, cummings etc tripping over their words and dave taking free reign of the situation

This royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England,
This nurse, this teeming womb of royal kings,
Fear'd by their breed and famous by their birth,
Renowned for their deeds as far from home,
For Christian service and true chivalry,
As is the sepulchre in stubborn Jewry,
Of the world's ransom, blessed Mary's Son,
This land of such dear souls, this dear dear land,
Dear for her reputation through the world,
Is now leased out, I die pronouncing it,
Like to a tenement or pelting farm:
England, bound in with the triumphant sea
Whose rocky shore beats back the envious siege
Of watery Neptune, is now bound in with shame,
With inky blots and rotten parchment bonds:
That England, that was wont to conquer others,
Hath made a shameful conquest of itself.

Remain campaign in a nutshell

You won't though because you're full of shit.
>>
>>74570295
According to Sky data, which is one of five thousand different polls showing different information. Hell, that shit can and will probably change next week. I think Leave should have basically said that very little would have changed, except we'd have more power rather than all this talk about FREE MOVEMENT IN COMMONWEALTH, 350 MILLION BACK SO WE CAN SPEND IT ON THE NHS, NO MORE EUROPE EXCEPT THEY'LL BEND OVER TO TRADE WITH US because that sort of shtick just won't fly with anyone. IDK friends I just feel this whole thing was a good opportunity that was massively fudged up
>>
>>74568238
>There will be genuine hatred whichever way it goes
I really can't see that happening, especially from the remain side if they lose. Mostly since the Scottish referendum had the seperatists intentionally stoke up hundreds of years of disgruntled acceptence into full blown hatred.

Not to mention the Remain side isn't interested in solidarity, shared values or even culture (since the EU vehemently opposes Eropean culture and civilisation), they're only really interested in power and idealism.
>>
>>74570491
Dave has a powerful propaganda machine behind and is a competent public speaker which besides from being a moderate was his main noteworthy skill. He also doesn't have to deal with being called a racist and becasue immigration IS as Nige says the main point for most then no one attacks Dave's shady financial background with Europe.

Blame Nigel and Boris, the latter of whom was supposed to be a big coup for the Leave side.

t. D.Cameron
>>
>>74570256

Nigel's biggest issue is his image. There are plenty of Liberals that will not vote for him because he's constantly branded as a racist by the media.

We know for a fact that everyone who cares about immigration will have made their minds up and will likely be voting to leave the EU, but they alone do not give us a majority. We need a politician who can win over the Remain voters who are skeptical about trade. And I think Daniel Hannah is near enough perfect for this.

>>74570359

David Cameron won't debate anyone other than Farage because he knows he can bait him into branding a racist. Its the Remain Campaigns biggest weapon.

>>74570491

Yup. If we vote to remain in the EU its simply because the Leave Campaign haven't been effective in their marketing and solely rely on the immigration issues.
>>
>>74569167
It's insane. She then went on to say: "I not ignoring facts. I'm doing what I believe to be the right thing."

Well, there's also the idea that he won't debate anyone because he doesn't want to split the blues anymore than they already are. Don't be fooled into thinking that this referendum was called for any reason other than winning the GE. Unforutnately I think Gove's loss really fucked Cameron over since he legitimately did not expect him to break away or for Leave to be as strong as it is. The way I see it, Dave's stepping down in a year or two and his successor depends on the referendum result. If it's a definite advantage for Remain (say, 5-6% or so), it's probably Prime Minister Boy George, if it's any less then there might be BoJo in attempts to appease the Eurosceptics. If there's a definite Leave victory then we're in uncharted waters as to who's gonna be leading the Tory camp.

I can't see Boy George taking over the Conservatives and being the Prime Minister, he's one of the most hated politicians in the UK right now. And if he does end up leading we'll likely have the coalition in 2020, maybe even Labour/SNP.

If we leave the EU or lose by a small margin I think we'll have Boris Johnston. And I'm confident he'd be able to secure a strong Tory victory in 2020.

It completely depends on the EU Referendum. If we leave the EU the Conservatives will need to rebuild itself in time for the 2020 elections and put forth a capable and electable leader (Boris Johnston). If they don't and end up electing someone like George Osborne the Tory's will lose their majority, then Labour and the SNP will sweep in.

If EU policy wasn't generally shit, I'd consider this a semi-valid argument.

Sometimes the democratically elected government has policies that nobody wants, but that they held their nose and dealt with because the alternative was even worse. In those circumstances, having those policies blocked by unelected bureaucrats isn't necessarily a bad thing in practice even if it is in principle.

Of course generally the EU lets through shit policy while blocking good policy

>>74569354 is right, the key is pressing the undemocratic nature of the EU. The EU parliament can't even suggest laws, they just vote on laws the unelected commissioners make. The whole system is entirely bloated and wasteful, there's 10,000 people working directly for the EU that earn more than the prime minister. Despite that the trade deals they love so much are worth less than the trade deals held by independent Switzerland, Japan, Korea. Huge amounts of countries trade more efficiently than the EU simply because they don't have to please all 28 member states at every stage of the process. These are just general points, the reality is leaving the EU makes sense in terms of immigration, nut what's infinitely more important is being able to make our own laws again, and know who rules us.

It made no sense then and it makes no sense now - the key factor is the flow of money: Scots, via the Barnett formula, receive an outright subsidy from taxation just for being Scottish.

The opposite is true for the whole of the UK - not only do we have the second highest total net contribution per capita to the EU of any member state, the tariffs imposed by the EU prevent us from trading with our own Commonwealth of nations.

>dumb SNP voters vote leave to get a second referendum
I hope
>>
>>74568508
This has been the SNP position for ages.

>>74568999
It makes perfect sense:
The SNP will, in all circumstances, push for an independent Scottish state. [inb4 """"independent""" in europe, you know what I mean.]
In the event of a leave vote [and, everyone knows though it's considered impolite to say outright, a belief on the SNP's part that it's doable.] the SNP will campaign to leave using the EU as an excuse.
In the event of a remain vote [and, everyone knows though it's considered impolite to say outright, a belief on the SNP's part that it's doable.] The SNP will campaign to leave using another excuse.

Brexit is not the only scenario that can justify a second referendum because the conclusion that Scotland should be independent has already been reached by the SNP, and now they just have to work out how to make it happen.

It's possible they're just saying what's expected of them. The SNP know a second referendum loss so soon would be suicide.

I'm a uni student and the anti-brexit shit is basically cult like.
I have yet to hear an actual reason for remaining from them that isn't naive utopianist drivel. Borders and shit are bad maannnn things like the EU are the way forward.
Also food is another big plus point for some reason (????). Because of multiculturalism we can like, eat kebabs and stuff maann, so vibrant and rich!
I think I've heard this from every leftie/pro-EU/globalist I've spoken with.

If you don't agree you are a xenophobe and a heretic.

>women are more likely to vote with their heart instead of their head.
I've read that women have traditionally been Tory voters [until the Blair years, at which point they switched]

Make of that what you will.

Nobody asked me what I think.

They're clearly trying to influence people to stay by swaying the polls.

I've never seen anything as laughable as the remain campaign

>"It's so great being part of the EU, I won't tell you how it's great, but I will tell you how bad it will be if we leave. Let's ask this millionaire celebrity what they think..."
>"Oh yeah, we'll totally be much worse off and be totally poorer and everything. If we leave I'll have no alternative, but to live in one of my other several homes across the globe"
>"So there you have it, if you leave we'll be as shunned as North Korea are and turn into a police state. If we remain we'll all be exactly where we are now, at best, for the next year or two. Good luck getting a £1m mortgage for a 1 bedroom garage with a garden the size of a pool table"

All I've ever heard them say are buzzwords and using scare tactics. They've spent tens of millions on the remain campaign and I'm still yet to see them offer anything that's a good point.

Oh, second tangent:
Attacking voting with one's heart over one's head isn't a good idea. There are very few positive emotive arguments for a federal Europe as it currently stands. Maybe a Anglo-Franco-German union, you could push, but the current thing encompassing half of the Ex-USSR? to hell with that.

A negative argument? Well, that's easy. Racist. Racist. Racist. What's wrong with people of different colours Nigel?
But people resent you for making use of negative argument. Look at Scotland.

By contrast making an argument for British sovereignty that appeals to the heart is trivial.

But when it comes to voting with the head, it's more muddied. Talking of immigration (even implicitly with public services) opens the risk of someone calling you a racist. So what've you got? The abstract concept of sovereignty [which when explained the right way "to the head and not the heart", is a pro-EU "The EU means the Tories can't slave-drive you" argument.] and the economy.

And the amount of scaremongering on the economy is tremendous. Believe it (much of it from reputable-ish sources) and you highly risk a "Leave in the heart, Remain in the head" situation like with Scotland.

Scotland, at least, was bought and sold for English gold, it'd be a disgrace British people will allow themselves to be bought and sold for fucking Euros...

It's like the summer of 1940 all over again, except this time it's not Hitler and the EU isn't dumb enough to switch away from bombing strategic targets and start uselessly bombing civilians.

The EU is a mechanical monster that digests nations by spraying numbing venom on its prey, then by chopping limbs off and slowly and inexorably digesting the chunks of individuality and indentity transforms nations into grey autocratic excrement.

It'll only be stopped either by Russia becoming so enraged about the osmotic beast now pressing up against its western border and nuking every city in continental Europe or by parasites of the Arab variety.
