They are naive, they truly think they know best and that those that disagree are either bigots or uneducated.

They either feel sorry for the opposition or are angered by the opposition. Lefties come in two moods, smug and outraged, they don't come in any other. Look at US """comedians""" for an example on how they operate.

They don't know what drives and forges a community, they don't know what motivates a love of country enough to die for it, they think pessimism and "warts and all" history which is really all warts is intellectual. They are natural losers, the moment their shrill voice stops cowing the Western World in the face of Islamic annihilation in the coming decades they will be written off as the most thoughtless ideology in history.

The problem with welfare is once people have that entitlement, any attempt to take away what is only supposed to have be a temporary safety net. This makes times of emergency a balancing act caught between what is necessary for survival and the masses of people who don't want things to change for the worse, so they will vote for whoever paints the most irresponsible fantasy possible.

>>
>>73875079
On the bright side Australian politics always follow American trends, so Trump rising and possible win will be a massive perhaps terminal blow to Globalist interests.

On the other hand we do not pick our nominees for PM of a Party directly, thus it is really difficult for a Populist candidate like Trump to rise to a seat, let alone the PM position.

Basically members of the Liberal party had some sort of 'referendum' and voted Based Tones out, in favour of Malcolm "It is important that we promote and encourage Islam" Turncuck.
Note that the Labor Party did the same thing twice, hence why we haven't had a single prime minister representing a voted in party since '07.

Immigration is the deciding factor of which countries live or die this century m8. We need to secure ourselves NOW, risking a possible recession is fine so long as we don't dissolve into """"diversity"""" that splits nations such as Germany or UK.
>>
The whole point of Turnbull's leadership spill was that he thought he'd lead the country to prosperity and he'd inspire economic confidence.

However this latest budget is recycled Abbot/Hockey polices.

He's ditched a GST increase.
He's U-turned on fixing the bracket creep problem.
He's scrapped any attempts at fixing GST so all states get a fair share.

He's a disappointment and I'm underwhelmed by Turnbull.

>>73875260
So your nominees are just thrown at you? In the U.S we have primaries, where x number of Republicans fight to get voted as the nominee to run for president, same with democrats. Who ever gets the most votes on each side, wins the primary, and then the two winners fight each other in the general election. How does it work in AU? You're party picks the nominees for you?

I couldn't give a shit less about Gay Marriage, I couldn't give a shitless about weed. I just want assurance that a hundred years from now the Australian culture and accent hasn't been run off entirely by a flood of foreigners, who do not see themselves as Australian but as conquerors from another country here to change the way things work.

M8s that sounds fucked. What's to stop corporations from infiltrating the party, whichever party it is, or both, and projecting candidates they've already made backdoor deals with?

I assume you vote to elect the members of the house, right? So you vote them because you trust their judgment to pick a good nominee etc...

But you vote in the people who select your nominee right? There has to be some semblance of democracy.
>>

This. If the homos would just fuck off with the rest of the baggage identity politics brings I would be fine with giving them the chance to lose half their shit.

You would think they of all people would realize what a threat Islamic immigration is, why is it only Milo seems to be aware of what will happen to gays in the UK when Islam becomes the dominant religion?

Absolutely nothing, which is of course why the liberals have turned into shameless Globalist shills for TPP and Labour have turned into the attack dogs for the INCREDIBLY corrupt unions.
Nobody wants to talk about the fucking greens.

The people in house vote for who is PM, they get this information by judging the polls, which change depending on how much exposure they get. This is why we have gone through 5 Prime Ministers without one of them serving a full term.

Man, Australians seem based from my travels abroad to Europe. I met a lot of Aussies; funny, witty, good stuff, seems like a great culture. But based on your politics, the only reason no one has invaded you yet is because no one wants that shit desert island land. Have an actual war, and realize what it means to defend yourselves and the freedoms you stand for.

God I love the U.S, as fucked as we are, we were founded by standing for something. 1776.

You Aussie fucks would be destroyed in a heartbeat, but yeah, you have fun over there quibbling on your little island.

Spoken like someone who knows very little about what Australians have done in conflicts around the world - INCLUDING in Vietnam. Remember that one?
And are you saying we are not 'real' because you had a war for independence and we didn't? So, do you think your founding fathers wouldn't have opted for a way to become independent that avoided war if they had a choice?

Current laws are fucked and we're drafted by city dwellers.

Our current system does nothing to deter violent/dangerous persons and just collects revenue.

There are more than 7 classes of license, all covered by a cluster fuck of beaurocracy - the system actually has built in paperwork delays - not waiting periods, but just weeks where the paperwork is not legally allowed to be filed.
The PTA system is stupid as all hell - you already have a license, why would you need another permit?
And then, the arbitrary banning of guns that scare people.

What we, the sporting public, want is:
>One license - covers everything from A through H.
>Paperwork delays removed.
>PTA to be eliminated.
>Licenses should no longer require a land owner's letter or "genuine reason".
>Licenses should have more modern safety courses, as current approved courses teach unsafe handling and unsafe practices for competition shooting.
>Licenses should require an ASIO background check instead of just a national police check.
>Licenses should require a mental health examination - the cost of which is easily offset by scrapping the PTA system.

Parliament is just like congress. Parliament is a legislature. In a Westminster system (Aus, UK, etc.) the legislature decides the executive (Prime Minister and the cabinet) by majority vote.

Anyone can nominate to run for a House seat with enough signatures, and parties can endorse one candidate in the election for any given seat.
