"You talk about things that have happened in history; this could be one of the worst. Now we should go in, we should stop this guy, which would be very easy and very quick. We could do it surgically, stop him from doing it, and save these lives. This is absolutely nuts. We don’t want to get involved and you’re gonna end up with something like you’ve never seen before. . . .

We should do on a humanitarian basis, immediately go into Libya, knock this guy out very quickly, very surgically, very effectively, and save the lives.”

Movies under Trump are gonna be so amazing. All the blacks, minorities, and women will be so disillusioned they will go on a spiritual/artistic "strike" and they won't flood the market with their menstrual bullshit. Our movies are going to be high brow psychological thrillers and philosophical explorations akin to Kubrick's time and James Cameron will finally release his Avatar sequels. It will be amazing. Every protagonist will be a believable strong white male and there won't even be a strong woman in the movie wasting our times.

God I can't wait for movies under the Trump administration.

Even Carter was more redpilled than Reagan:

>He used it three days ago saying there was nothing wrong with city neighborhoods trying to maintain ethnic purity, he specifically mentioned groups like Poles, Czechs, French Canadians, as well as blacks, and the controversy flared, and Carter, campaigning in Pennsylvania, has been hit with the question time and time again. Robert Hager reports.

>Carter said what he does mean is that the government shouldn’t actively try to force changes in neighborhoods with their own ethnic character.

This is actually something I look forward to. Movies in the 70s were a reaction to the hippie bullshit of the 60s, so you had tough, everyman white guys battling black crime in the cities, like Death Wish, Taxi Driver, Dirty Harry, The French Connection. You had great horror films like The Exorcist and Halloween. If you extend the 70s a bit, you have Kubrick's high point from 2001 (1968) to The Shining (1980). It was the best era for film.

Straight film without any PC propaganda.

Agreed. 70s (extending to late 60s and early 80s) is my favourite decade in film. I would say they were more experimental and more daring than even today's avant garde films. So many good movies you can list and it's all because people weren't afraid to go out there and explore manly topics. Fuck I'm getting so hyped for Trump era cinema now.

The thing is, though, that Trump really evokes the 70s at its core.

>his hair
>his "don't tell me what to do" attitude
>the decade of insult humor (Rodney Dangerfield)
>the decade of un-PC humor (early SNL, Animal House, Blazing Saddles, Airplane)
>the decade of "Battle of the Sexes"
>the decade of grindhouse theaters, theatrical porn, and gory slashers
>the decade of glorified vigilantism and people fed up with black crime

Trump is the 70s, and he's taking us back. It's like how Reagan embodied the 50s in many ways.

Reagan was more social conservative/christian, while Trump is more 70s-style un-PC and rebellious.

>>
>>73455809
That is "undecided voter" level retarded.
The thing that keeps politicians dishonest is politics, the act of making deals with other people in power from places different from the place that put you there. There's no such thing as a campaign promise or a failed promise, there's the race and then implementation which are different in as much as the political community is corrupt. Its entirely up to how much he wants to ignore or work with congress as to whether he keeps "promises".

People embody an era that they actually lived through and that shapes them. Reagan lived through the 50s, and it was the decade that had the greatest influence on him.

Trump was a young man in the 70s, so it goes to reason that the era would influence him and that he would embody many of its traits.

That's what I mean. He might fit into a larger pattern that goes farther back, but he embodies the values and culture of the 1970s, when he was in his late 20s.

I don't kid myself into thinking we can have a president take us back culturally as far as the 50s at this point--too much has changed. The 70s are doable.
>>
>>73452665
What the hell's wrong with being rich, almost like you wanna elect someone who isn't successful.
>>
>>73455997
He runs a big business in property and its purpose is to make money; ethics are lost with more business being done under the same branding.
I do not worship Trump, I like what he has to offer me as a citizen and am impressed with his personal abilities, not the conduct of his enormous corporation where he is mostly image and soul.
>>
>>73456134

That's an evasion.

The man has no history, that I can find, of calling for the auditing of the Fed, outside of his run for the Republican nomination.

And throwing the idea around on Infowars is just red meat for the audience.

It doesn't appear to be an issue he takes to heart or believes in because of some explicit principles he can articulate.

So all signs point to election year pandering and not a genuine belief at all.

People should be dubious.
>>
>>73456275

Nothing.

But being rich in New York/New Jersey real estate is far different from being rich in Dakota oil.

There is a certain culture in the city he calls home. Politically it is left and the rich there tend to be very politically connected and progressive in ideology, unlike many of the working class.

It is a valid component of his ideological character.
>>
>>73456401

But back to the point about his libertarian leanings on property rights, would you not agree that this information casts some doubt that he has such leanings?
>>
>>73456743
No, because i doubt his personal input at that level. He has said himself he focuses on "flagship" projects, which is very easy to believe given the amount of business "he" does. Do you think Bill Gates decides what games go on each Windows version, or where outsourced coding is contracted? No, not since before Windows 95.
>>
>>73456988

That's a fairly weak argument.

His name, not just his company, is all over the legal documents.

Are you implying that he's just some idle rich playboy that doesn't actually have any knowledge or decision making concerning his major development projects?
>>
>>73457364
In a world where Clinton's personal negligence of duty killed a US ambassador, which since WWII kinda doesn't happen, Bernie signs over his -$60k assets to his wife in order to fit a different tax bracket and Ted Cruz is a fucking leaf, its a very, very relatively strong argument.
>>
>>73453740
>>73454988
To be fair I can understand not wanting neighbourhoods to have their own ethnic character so that people assimilate into our culture more instead of having this shit where Hispanics might as well be Mexicans instead of being Americans in some places. You could also argue that it caused a lot of gangs in the past 60 or so years.
>>
>>73456988

Also, he has publicly come out in favor of the use of eminent domain for 'economic' purposes.

“I happen to agree with it 100%. if you have a person living in an area that’s not even necessarily a good area, and … government wants to build a tremendous economic development, where a lot of people are going to be put to work and … create thousands upon thousands of jobs and beautification and lots of other things, I think it happens to be good.”

And he has spoken publicly about the very case I cited:

Mr. Trump also appeared on ''20/ 20'' last month to discuss the case. ''In life you have a thing called condemnation,'' he said on the show. ''And cities have the right to condemn for the good of a city -- whether it's New York, whether it's Los Angeles, whether it's any other place. Atlantic City is one of those cities, and it's got the right to condemn.'' He added that he thought Mrs. Coking's house was ugly.

He was the original cuckservative.

Reagan was the original Neo-cuckservative.

Ford was a dipshit who played too much football without a helmet.

Carter was a impotent liberal.

Bush the First was alright. He just botched it with his tax hike 'after he said otherwise' but hey what could he do? The Cold War was over, and the US had to start cutting back.

The 70s kind of sucked domestically though. But if Trump can bring about a 70s hard edge a 80s boom I'd be okay.
