I was born in 91 in VA. I don't really know what went wrong with people. If I had to guess it probably has something to do with the economic situation of America combined with 9/11 making us live in fear. We went through 2 economic bubbles on top of a War that never seems to end. My life really went to shit after 9/11 when my dad got deployed. My middle brother was batshit insane and my mom couldn't handle him half of the time. My dad ended up getting sent back but by that time everything had changed. I was pretty much independent in middle and high school because my parents were always dealing with my brothers bullshit.

When we wanted to be entertained, we went out and did something, even if doing something meant hanging out at the 7-11 or cruising around. For us, it was a major social event to go to the 7-11 for a slurpee and a bag of chips.
