It would be tricky at first, but is it downright impossible? Suppose a standard dialect is developed and properly taught in schools, including those in Albania. Same with other material in education: history, morality, culture. The newer Illyrian generation could work together better than current people do.
Separate states with a high level of independence but a lot of shared systems could be a good first step before a proper Illyrian nation. Biggest problem I can think of is Islam, since it has an inherent aim to flatten and appropriate other cultures under Islamic morality and culture. But no problem is unsolvable. Don't get me wrong, I take no issue with Turkic influence in Turkey and actually admire a lot of things in Turko-Mongol tradition. I'm mostly arguing against the Islamist narrative a lot of people in the country identify with.
Obviously, I can't speak for you, but I'd much prefer a Turkey that speaks with the West than a new Ottoman state. Note that I'm not taking about Megali Idea. This isn't about Turkey giving up clay, but about detaching internal conflict and siding with a better ally.
