I'm not sure how others feel, but speaking for myself, I'm aligned with the candidate who most reflects my values. In my lifetime, Cruz has been the closest to that, so in this election cycle, I support him. I think Trump is centrist at best with authoritarian tendencies, and if he becomes the nominee, then I'm afraid that would be the end of conservatism in the Republican Party. You may disagree with this, but this is what I believe, and I'm entitled to my opinion. So, in order to prevent this, I hope the candidates do everything that is legal in order to make sure Trump doesn't take over the Republican Party and I hope Cruz does everything legal to ensure he has the best chance of becoming the nominee.
