Hitler was a terrible leader and his lazy economic policies were the main cause the largest and most destructive war in history.

I have thought this about little, maybe just semantics, byt anyway. I think socialism only works in national sense. Pro communists are usually confronted by the fact that their socialism is long list of failures and big number of corpses. But they always defend: "they just did it wrong, now we do it right". There has not been lot of public talk about national socialism. Because there is such a huge connection with 1940's and germany, so its taboo. And people always associate national socialism with racism and genocide and such things. So talking about it is no no.
Finland is very patriotic, in some sense almost nationalistic. And we have welfare system, some might describe it as socialistic. That has been for citizen of finland. So maybe Finland actually has been the working national socialistic country. And I would say that nordic welfare states actually are in some sense light version of national socialism. Benefits for citizens, so that they dont starve to death and such.
Ofcourse leftist have tried to undermine this for a while. Undermine national culture, trying to hand citizenships like candies. They have idea that all poor people of world should benefit from our welfare system, global socialism. But it cant handle that burden and its squeeking.
So maybe there has been national socialist countries, the nordic countries. Just not labeled as such. And now they are coming to their end as leftist are trying to change it to global socialism. But socialism only appears to work under national level.
