They bring their problems on themselves. They can break the cycle anytime they want by getting off of the fucking Rez, but that's their "safe space," where Whitey can't tell them what to do.
Natives that leave the Rez and assimilate into society are okay, or at least many times more okay than those who just want to drink and drug themselves to death and perpetuate cycles of molestation and violence.
All of the Acts that our governments have made over the years to "preserve Indian heritage" have doomed them and all those they interact with.
If we can learn one lesson from this, it's that you need to treat everyone in your country equally, and not elevate one group above another because "mistakes were made in the past."
