Sure I've thought about that. But the reality is that my student debt isn't going to disappear and my career is important for me. It's something I have a passion for, it's what my self-esteem and self-image is very much based on.
And there is no other chance really, it's not like I had a perfect father and husband I kept in my basement. I'm way happier when I have my career, friends and life that I was with a man I didn't love and with few kids.
I'm sure I can "have it all." If no great love comes by, then around my 30s I'll settle for someone who may not be my biggest love but who I can build a family with. But there's no reason to rush in life and make it too black and white. By having kids with just someone at this point would pretty much rule me out for having a potentially very fulfilling relationship with someone in the future. I'm not compromising until I have to.
