I work in a restaurant so the entire back of house is largely hispanic and there isn't a single hard worker in the bunch. They show up late, stoned and bitch about how they have no money, they half ass everything and always, always ask to leave early no matter how busy it is because they made "plans" for 10:30 at night and I've even fucking seen one of them go and take a nap in the back while on the clock. (He got all pissy when I took photos for the manager, "you're racist for documenting my actions!" he got let go but his mexican KM tried really hard to keep his sleepy ass)
I chose to leave the last place I worked because the hispanics in the kitchen didn't speak any english and I found out they were passing over any app that didn't speak fluent spanish. Partly because it would be too hard for Raul the 67 year old dishwasher to learn a few words of english, but also because they really didn't want to hire anyone that wasn't hispanic. In Wa. State ffs.
If anyone thinks mexicans are hard working or honest as a general rule I implore you to work with them. I've had two different cooks fired for stealing from my till even though they know the camera points right at it. Dishonest is one thing but flat out dumb is another. I have a generally low opinion of them after working with them for most of my life.
