There's a difference between mannerisms and speeches. One method casually implies to one's unconscious that you and they are a lot alike. Like a sweet whisper. The other, speech, is grounded on logos and authority.
The difference between the two is that those who rely on the former are never trusted within the realm of politics. It's used to bait the masses, nothing more. If you see someone seem trustable in politics by the way he walks, you should immediately be suspicious of what he has to hide. It's the the rhetoric world's version of a consistently winning pablum.
