In my opinion, we're about to witness this market take another step down. There are many reasons for this analysis, but the most important are:
1) S&P500 Earnings are 15% below wha they were at the same time last year. Since stocks trade at a multiple to earnings, when earnings fall, either the multiple has to expand, or the price has to drop.
2) Strong Dollar: In recent months the dollar has stopped rallying, but its still at its highest level in 10 years. The small fall in the dollars value recently is just noise in my opinion: the long term trend in favor of a strong dollar has not changed. Other countries are absolutely destroying their currencies is continuing, while the US raises rates, making it more lucrative to hold dollars. Finally, a strong dollar hurts S&P500 earnings, since >50% of the S&P's net income is derived from overseas operations. When the dollar strengthens, foreign currency translates into less dollars, thus earnings fall, and back to 1.
3) Oil has rebounded recently on hopes of a production freeze. This is absolutely absurd. The cartel is broken. No one is going to pump less to raise the price of crude, especially now that every increase in crude price gets consumers to transfer either to natgas or renewables. It just doesnt work anymore, and since Iran is pumping again, finally free of sanctions, you can bet they're gunna pump hard. Oil will fall soon, mark my words.
4) Has to crash before the election. Absolutely has to. Otherwise Hillary would win, and we all know the old boys club in power wont let that happen.

I've got enough communication gear to setup a communication network.
Whenever I buy emergency supply goods I always get three or four even if I only plan on using one ( never know when an emergency hits what you can trade for to people that didn't take the time to prepare )
I've got multiple vehicles and forms of transportation as well as caches of weapons, ammo, silver, food, water scattered on escape routes/properties so I do not have all my eggs in one basket and will always have a means to get another weapon/meal.
I have bought small plots of land all over the state ( small plots like a few acres here and there ) that I personally visit and plant small berry bushes to encourage small game to eat and trespass on my land.
I've got 20+ family members that are on a need-to-know basis regarding all of this and that I have been slowly preparing for any apocalypse so I can easily have access to manpower if it really gets bad enough to leave the city onto one of my properties.
