- Not really expensive, 3€ gets you your typical Döner, 5-6€ for Burger & Pizza. We've got german cuisine (~Imbiss Buden) and some really good places for biological food as well, i guess - soup kitchen or sandwhiches - and your generic chain shops.

But it is my experience: I saw quite a few people who finished their FH with <1,5 fail when switching to an Uni for thei masters degree.

I am in my 5th year now, so no newbie. Worked as Arbeitnehmerüberlassung (ANÜ) as an Externer first, but was taken over. Opel pays pretty decent and they are actually have some sort of comeback. Their latest models are selling well and GM, Daewoo, Vauxhall and Opel and god knows what else have in total quite a strong position. After the crises, they managed to get back on track. Still working on it though.

When making such a comparision, most people go to the extreme and list the usual suspects: sociology, ethnic studies bla bla..
But the problem is when people in worthwhile degrees have an advantage with the dumbed down degree over people who majored in an actual university degree. It's becoming quite notorious with the engineering degrees now since those lower schools claim their programs are "more practical" (obvious bs - I have first hand counter examples) and thus employers would rather take them. The analogy would be this: Two EE majors, one from a random CC (if this can't happen in the US, just pretend it does) and the other from a top 10 university. The former one will have almost the same job prospects and an expected starting salary of maybe 1k less. All this while the CC student does half of the work you need to do in the uni AND finishes a semester earlier.
The closest thing I've seen the "feminism" at my uni was a "consent workshop". I walked past the room when it was supposed to have started and glanced through the window and there 2 women and a numale sitting there looking a bit glum because nobody had showed up.
My country isn't exactly known for its equality though.
