Everyone in my family, and my best friend, they're all leftists. They all laugh at me for holding the opinions I hold. I cite facts, I have sent them numerous essays and reports that I have personally written citing 50+ sources, I put so much work into trying to get the truth out there and make the world a better place. But they all just LAUGH. Every single one laughs at me. They laugh, mock, deride.
So today I was speaking to my brother about the refugee crisis, about why we shouldn't be taking them in. I wrote a large document about it and shared it with him and the other people I know, everything I say is backed up by fact and reason, and so I just whittled my brother down until he would finally say this:

Let the information sip into their subconscious and it will surface the next time they are in a situation that the factual evidence referred to, and thus gradually change their perception.
