Real talk though; how will we handle migrants who legally came here while we were part of the schengen zone?
I don't believe travel to the EU will be changed drastically (won't it only change needing a visa for stays longer than a certain period?), but numerous migrants I know are worried about their futures.
For example, my Polish ex and my Bulgarian work mate are worried about getting around europe and whether they'll be kicked out if they don't earn a certain amount.
Personally I think we should give amnesty to all migrants who have come here legally as part of internal EU movement (not refugees or other such externally originating migrants that came here outside of normal legal procedures), as it is not their fault they are now not allowed in.
Perhaps instead we simply exclude the current schengen system, start processing people correctly, and adopt a zero tolerance policy against people breaking the law who are not officially British citizens?

Most countries spend a huge percentage of their GDP on military and defense spending. Even though now many services are being cut. I would prefer it if they used money to benefit the NHS. Private-level health care for the people, decent wages for hospital employees giving them the respect they deserve. I think this is more beneficial than Trident.
I think many many problems lie with the essence of a bureaucratically run dominator culture, where people are employed with vast wages to fix things that are literally unfixable through these means.

How would an EU army be a shambles exactly?
The EU do want to create an army, that's one of their documented intentions. I take it you're pro-EU then and will be voting accordingly? I will be the opposite because I don't believe EU is economically worth it.
If you look at the way Europe is going, a stronger military-policing presence, especially and starting with cities, is highly likely. This will of course be promoted through security reasons with the gradual loss of civil liberties being inevitable.
I also know that many politicians are so far removed from real-life that on paper, all of these multi-cultured diversity programs seem good.. But in practice, it puts a huge strain on countries. I am unsure if they're intentionally destabilising European culture or they're actually so brainwashed and devoid of independent and critical thought that they think their decisions are of benefit to nations. Either way, they have private security and are pretty much untouchable so don't have to worry about modern day fears that many of the public face.
