If Trump landslides NY with 90 out of 95 and wins CA with 130 out of 172 he wins with over 1237 assuming the lowest conservative projections for the rest of the states stand. NY is his homestate. Cali is set in a way that winning with a lead of 10% will yield a yuuuge chunk of the delegates. In 2008 McCain won 155 delegates at 42.25%, while Mitt Romney won only 15 delegates at 34.56% (7.69% difference). All the polls in CA show Trump in the lead by approximately 10%. Trump only needs 130 to win after NY: if he also hits 155, he'll be set to go well over 1300.
These calculations also assume that he won't win states he's not expected to win like Wyoming, Nebraska, Montana, or South Dakota. However, if he wins even one of those states in an upset he could potentially go past 1350-1400 under the best circumstances. Additionally, while the 125 uncommitted delegates are mostly bought off by the establishment, Trump is likely to get /at least/ 10-20 who will defect for him (if not more) thus pushing him even higher. But he won't need them.
tl;dr is that all he needs is to win NY at 90+ and win Cali with a lead of ~10% (which he already has). He will reach 1237 delegates despite the shilling you might see.

Then he'll win about 100 delegates from NJ and IN
Then he'll win about 220 from WVA, CA and the proportional states assuming polls remain the same (they won't, Trump will do better the more he wins and Cruz will decline the more he loses)
That's 520 pledged delegates Trump is on track to getting on top of his roughly 760 he has now, so he'd end up with 1280 pledged delegates
