First, I'm very careful not to discuss politics at work. If it does come up I listen intently and maybe participate a little bit but I never give away any of my own personal beliefs or opinions.
Secondly, I would probably be ostracized at work but I doubt I'd lose my job for publicly supporting Trump - but then again one should never under estimate the malice and hate of the radical left. I'm sure someone would try to get me fired for racism or sexism or something stupid like that.

What I have done? I had a co worker that would undermine me at every chance, complain about insignificant things and act like everything I did was on purpose to piss him off. He legitimately has mental issues, paranoia. Yet my boss protected him. Two times before me being fired, I approached my boss about how this guy has been treating me and how he is in a position to be my supervisor, despite the fact that he would say otherwise. So first time, boss says we will keep it in internal, get it fixed that way. Nothing changed, second time, boss insisted we keep things internal, sent that co worker on long due holiday to relax. When that co worker came back, being in the position he was and that the busy season was coming up, this guy took work away from me by coming in on a scheduled day off to do my work that was assigned to me. Again, he is just one of the guys despite being my supervisor. This was the third time, first time, shame on you, second time, shame on me for allowing it to continue. Third time, nope, no third time. So I confronted him about it and told my co worker that was it and I'm taking it to the head office for what he was doing. By their definition, the employers of my boss, that is work place bully tactics. So when my boss found out that I went above his head, I was fired and he lied to his bosses that I quit.
