Lived 15 mins outside AC all my life. I go to Rutgers now and I'm graduating soon. Soon as I do I am seriously considering getting the hell out of this state. South Jersey is dying from an implosion of the Casino Industry due to a fatal combination of economic downturn, poor detroit-tier management, drug epidemics, and of course the black populations making the city itself uninhabitable.
People only ever visit AC, nobody civilized actually lives there anymore. I feel terrible for all the outlier areas like Brigantine that are forced into AC Highschool. My family on my mother's side is actually well known on the island there for real estate so we've been in this area for a while. It's a shame to see it all go down the tubes, especially since 2008.
If nothing else AC just leaves me feeling a little lukewarm about Trump. After all, he had his part in the collapse of that city too.

I was just at Caesars last Monday and I assure you they were making plenty of money. the line to check in was a 30 minute wait with about 9 people working the front desk. Some casinos are dead but its a little overstated. They just built too many casinos.

up here in the north, it is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. i think just second behind the LA area. but the farther down south you go, the poorer it gets. all of our big cities (newark, trenton, patterson) are poor as fuck too.
