My knowledge of this place started during history lectures at university here in UK which ended up in 30mins of ridicule and laughter even the staff we're pissing themselves. I've been to Republic of Macedonia after I went on a study tour to (the real) Macedonia and it really was so surreal you have to go yourself to experience it.
The pesudo history is now so obvious it actually forms a predictable set of apologetics which revolves around "disproving Macedon's greekness" while forgetting to provide a link for themselves to antiquity.
