Okay, so I literally went through a phase where I wanted to be a woman. I'm not a very masculine man, I dig my chick flicks, scented candles, and fruity drinks. Stuff like that. At the same time I really don't take any enjoyment from most masculine activities.
I thought these things were 'signs', I actually went through the motions to get approved for HRT, but quit when the going got too tough.

The thing about the US is that most laws are State laws not Federal laws. The 50 states have far more room for governing themselves than states/provinces/territories/whatever in other countries, and so they're all quite different.
