I don't like how Trump has handled Rato recently.
If I was in Trump's position I would have asked a volunteer (or hired someone) to create a compilation video which goes through televised attacks from Rato on Trump in recent time in segments followed by evidence that Rato is lying. Then I would post this video on Trump's facebook, twitter and instagram. The intention would be to reinforce the Lyin' Ted catchphrase.
Instead of repeatedly denying any connection to the scandal like Trump did, I would have paused after the first statement and then waited for a good opportunity to further expose Rato's hypocrisy. Rato made harsh statements against accusations, yet he accuses Trump of being the string puller behind the scandal without any evidence. After it has been shown that Rubio's campaign is behind the scandal, I would have made my second post on facebook about the issue. Not only would I have provided evidence about Rubio's involvement and exposed Rato's hypocrisy, I would have also dared Rato to sue National Enquirer, further stating that Rato's repeated attacks on Trump and lack of lawsuit against NE gives the impression of failing damage controll.
I think this would be much more potent and checkmate Rato on the scandal.
Trump lacks pithiness in his tweets. There is obviously not much thought behind most of them.
