Because Hillary would totally throw Wall Street under the bus to help save the planet

The reality is that without a major population culling, there will be no solution to global warming. This is an economic arms race that cannot be stopped. No nation will willingly hobble themselves to save the planet

Death and pain incoming.

It will destroy the 3rd world. We will survive

>Linkola calls for forced abortions, while also adding that another world war would be “a happy occasion for the planet” because it would eradicate tens of millions of people. The environmentalist believes that only jackbooted tyranny can help to save mother earth from “the worst ideologies in the world” which he defines as “growth and freedom”.

>“Who misses all those who died in the Second World War? Who misses the twenty million executed by Stalin? Who misses Hitler’s six million Jews?” asks Linkola.

>“What to do, when a ship carrying a hundred passengers suddenly capsizes and only one lifeboat? When the lifeboat is full, those who hate life will try to load it with more people and sink the lot. Those who love and respect life will take the ship’s axe and sever the extra hands that cling to the sides of the boat.”

He's a fucking socialist leaning anarchist linguistics professor that spends his time crying about American imperialism and propaganda. Hugo Chavez was a big fan of his, like all other commies. That's not how things work m80. You prove a hypothesis, it doesn't stand until disproven.

I have already blown a hole in their hypothesis with my link to the medieval warm period. That shows that the climate was much warmer than it is now in a time with no industrialisation at all, disproving their assertion that the climate is now much warmer than it has ever been in history as a result of human release of carbon dioxide.

Their comeback to this is that the MWP was isolated to Europe and not a global phenomenon, however this has been shown to be false as evidence for it has been found in places such as China, New Zealand and Chile.

Also the models based on the theory that exponential rise in CO2 release means a similar rise in temperature have not produced accurate results. Global temperatures have not risen in almost 2 decades now, despite still ever increasing carbon dioxide levels.

During the medieval warming period, there were also other areas that are cooler than today, like the tropical pacific that averages out all the warm areas.

In the end, the medieval warming period doesn't show that global temperatures are hotter than today. In fact, there is evidence that shows temperatures in the Northern hemisphere, where the warming was most visible in the medieval warming period, to be higher today.

The medieval warming period is no where near as warm as it is now.

>In fact, there is evidence that shows temperatures in the Northern hemisphere, where the warming was most visible in the medieval warming period, to be higher today.

>>
>>69238462
I don't think you understand what an appeal to authority or popularity is.

All I'm just saying is that it is more reasonable to believe someone who spent their lives studying the subject than some random guy on an internet forum.

The better alternative would be to spend thousands of hours reading research papers, but nobody wants to do that.
>>

He thinks that a specific innate part of the brain is solely responsible for language acquisition.

After extensive empirical research, it turns out that there is no such thing as a universal grammar. A UG implies that the grammar of every language in the world is kind of similar. There is no such system. Instead, babies use their ability to detect patterns in a language to acquire that language. It's something in between innate and blank slate.

There is zero evidence showing that global temperatures are warmer during the medieval warming than they are today.

Is there anyone who takes this fucking guy seriously? There's usually a mass extinction every 200 - 400 thousand years, usually caused by a super volcano. The Toba eruption 75 thousand years ago wiped out millions of species and almost wiped out early humans.
How can anyone with any knowledge of evolutionary biology or volcanology sit back and let this man outright lie about something thousands of people study for their entire lives?

Chomsky has spent years decrying the shit the US does south of the border. Maybe that stuff should have been decried, but guilty or not, I certainly do not think the US should accept the consequences as a form of justice.

Rather the US should make those we have inflicted damage on eat that damage with no recompense.

These are anomaly charts. If you don't know what that is, they divide the world up into small squares, take the average temperature and compare it to the current temperature. To build up yearly anomaly chart, they add together all the highest temperatures either over a weakly period or add together all the highest temperatures for that year.
Global warming is real, but it's so subtle that tracking it through surface temperature anomaly charts is disingenuous when making a case for its existence.
The problem is the sun since it's the equivalent of an earthquake during an experiment to measure the vibration of a guitar sting. It's often random, extremely powerful and has a tendency to ruin any certainty for measurements beyond meteorological prediction for a 30 day period.

Except Marx was objectively wrong. The Socialist revolution isn't happening--the Capitalist revolution is, and it's showing no signs of stopping.

Marx's theory was that the growing inequities of Capitalism would prompt a revolution. Turns out that even an unequal Capitalist society is so objectively superior to Socialism that nobody would willingly choose the latter. The hundreds of millions uplifted from poverty and on their way towards developed nation status were brought there by Capitalism.

Retards like Chomsky bitch about inequity, but of course now that half of the planet is trying to industrialize itself, suddenly that's evil because it's killing the environment. You can spot the faggot's true nature here: He doesn't want to elevate the rest of the world, he wants the civilized world destroyed, because at least then we'd all be equal to fucking India with its shitting streets.

>We used a coupled climate system model to determine whether proxy-based irradiance series are capable of inducing climatic variations that resemble variations found in climate reconstructions, and if part of the previously estimated large range of past solar irradiance changes could be excluded.

I am always sceptical of climate models. We don't know enough about the atmosphere to say if it's going to be sunny tomorrow with any kind of accuracy, never mind what the climate will be like years from now.

They say it's more than what the sun can do from 1980 onwards, the rest being CO2.

Well, why has it suddenly stopped since the turn of the millennium if that's more important than the sun here? We're pumping out CO2 faster than ever.

Don't know, I'm still betting on the big ball of nuclear fire in the sky but I might be wrong. If CO2 was the culprit then it would still be driving up temperature as it increases. *It isn't* and this means there's something they're missing at best, or they are completely wrong at worst.

>Where is your evidence that models in general are inaccurate?

See pic in this post >>69242673

That shows dozens of climate models' predictions compared to actual measured temperature. The models keep shooting up, but the temperature doesn't.

>Can you prove this assertion? Maybe a research paper or two?

Don't need to. It's pretty basic logic. The theory goes that as more carbon is put into the atmosphere it traps more heat due to the greenhouse effect, causing global temperatures to rise. We are still putting ever more carbon up there, but the temperature has stopped rising.

This means that "more CO2 = higher temperatures" is not all there is, and something more powerful is counteracting it. My bet being on the biggest and most powerful one of all, the sun.

that's not always how it works. Sometimes atmospheric temperatures can rise over the years and stop and then rise again rapidly.

What we do know is that if we look at the trend over the last 100 years or more, the temperature is clearly rising. Solar and volcanic activity cannot account for this.

That graph is constructed from data collected by the met office. It does not show a rise in temperature from ~2000 onwards. They describe it thus: "The gridded data are a blend of the CRUTEM4 land-surface air temperature dataset and the HadSST3 sea-surface temperature (SST) dataset."
