It's not parroting. It's my general belief. If any other serious candidate for President had a platform for addressing the issue, I'd support them. Before I even knew about Sanders I was impressed with Larry Lessig who wanted to run as a single-issue candidate on the issue (but never received any attention). I do appreciate that Trump is not taking special interest money but I want him to actually announce plans to deal with the issue as well. Sanders, for instance, has said that he would not appoint a supreme court justice unless one of their top priorities was overturning Citizens United.
As for the second point, it's not just about Presidential elections. Presidential elections are a bit more immune to big money (though not entirely so) because of increased media exposure. Local and state elections are much more bought. Even in presidential elections though, there is no way certain candidates could have gotten even as far as they did without the generous contributions of super pacs backing them.
