These circles predate Rosicrucianism and even Hermeticsim; they are composed of the descendants of Roman patrician families and the best esotericists and occultists alive today.
A brief reference is made to these groups in the Inner Traditions edition of the collected works of the UR Group, of which Julius Evola was the head. It is stated therein that a man, name unknown, writing under the pen name "Ekatlos," was the custodian of certain esoteric secrets and even objects belonging to the world of Tradition. Ekatlos, Evola, and others became so influential in Europe that Mussolini himself feared and respected them. They did so by forming a magical "chain," an imitation of the old priestly castes of Tradition, which was able to receive inspiration "from above."
These groups and others took part in an Occult War, which paralleled the Second World War, and whose result was devastating to Western Man's spirituality. Opposed to the UR Group and the old patrician circles were the satanists of Aleister Crowley, whose Thelema is little more than the invocation of demons and dark forces. Crowley himself suggested that Churchill use the "V for Victory" sign, which was in essence a magical gesture, signifying the eternal waters, the vulva, and Venus. He invoked the telluric to wage war against the solar and boreal, represented by Himmler and the SS, whose allies included the UR group and the patrician circles I have already mentioned. Proof of this can be found on the cover art of Crowley's first book, which contains both a swastika and a V, published long before World War II ever broke out.
