In a R caucas you'll see the dedicated conservative base come out and less casuals. In a primary all the casuals come out and vote trump.

If you ask me, it's because Christian countries are less strict and brutal than Muslim countries.
We don't have them in Singapore, but in Malaysia (which is pretty much Islam-dominated) they have moral police who go around sticking their noses in peoples' lives and so on. My father moved to Singapore (he and I are Chinese) from Malaysia because he couldn't stand the natives.
Christianity tends to forbid a whole lot less than Islam, and in general Muslims take their religion a whole lot more seriously than Christians do (at least, from my experience with them). Going to a Muslim country can be challenging even without the fucked up attitudes of the ME, and maybe people don't want to do that.
In contrast, a Christian country is a lot more forgiving than a Muslim country, but who knows, they might be going there to spread the faith, mini-Saracens on a mini-crusade. I'm not saying kill or hate them, but you have to stand your ground.
