you use windows, you dumb fuck. Blocking trackers is like pissing your pants to distract people from noticing that you have shat your pants.

great linux meme

Linux has been mainstream for ages, you're just as fucked as anyone

Using windows and then complaining about privacy is rediculous. It only makes sense for Linux users because Microsoft CAN and DO sell your information. They do not need to ask for consent due to the CISA law in America.

What ever 4chan don't get from directly tracking you they can buy from Microsoft if they want to.
>>
>>68326026
ublock can block ads, but does not matter when it comes to privacy if you use windows. Even if you use Tor on everything the webpages you go to are still collected by Microsoft.

Ok.

Oh, and there are 3 trackers, by the way.

Drop adblock. Use ublock origin. Unlike Adblock, ublock origin is FOSS.

>>
>>68324831

Right lads, I'm going to put this to rest once and for all.

Unless you're some computer genius who can get around all this while staying untracked at the same time then there is NO WAY TO NOT BE TRACED BY THE GOVERNMENT!

Everything you download to stay Anonymous doesn't make you Anonymous but just more difficult to trace, EVERY. PIECE. OF. SOFTWARE. has a backdoor so the FBI can spy on you.

And while we're on the topic of spying I'd like you to know that the FBI has world responsibility for snooping 4chan, it doesn't matter where you live in the world. If you post on 4chan it's up to them to keep an eye on you and not your own country's security agency.
>>
>>68326080

Don't care, haven't seen classic ads since three years and I don't fall for click bait. I don't use kikebook or other datamining sites, except for some troll accounts.

And here it's hating or shitposting.

I wonder who could do anything with my infos.

Neat. Doesn't mean I'm gonna make it easy on them.

Ublock origin, Random Agent, Zenmate, Flash Control, NoScript, HTTPS Everywhere, and BetterPrivacy as addons.

Tutanota for email. FOSS everything I can get my hands on, including OS (Mint).
>>
>>68326951
Yeah, google it and you can read 100,000 articles on it. NSA has backdoors in harddrives firmware.
>>
>>68326479
Not fucked, your canadian ISP wont give your name to RCMP without a warrant, a judge will not sign a warrant unless there is an active investigation, there will not be an active investigation unless you attach your actual name to the hate crime laws you break and put the shit on facebook like that retard from calgary who got 364 days in jail for saying nigger on FB.

Loose lips sink ships so keep your persec and opsec tight.

You do realise that you can simply set the firewall to block all outbound communication and all the "spying" stops right?

Seriously, get educated before running your mouth.

Using a legit addon like privacy badger is a really effective way of stopping tracking.
>>
>>68326787

>FBI shill
>>
>>68324831
I mean tracking anything is kinda pointless, there are so many people with Internet connectivity. Most people watch porn nowadays too so it's kind of an open thing.
>>
You really don't understand what they mean by tracking, do you?

>>
>>68325500
Drop Ghostery. They sold out. Use an alternative.
>>
>>68325952
Linux has the advantage that it is FOSS. You don't have that ability to check with other systems.

That already makes Linux a better choice.
>>
FBI is republican, who cares. they are redpilled on crime statistics
>>
>>68334048
This is cringe worthy trolling.

>Install windows
>set the firewall to block outbound
>sit a machine on the same network
>run wireshark to sniff packets
>nothing being sent

Literally a 13 year old could do this. Windows can collect as much data on its users as Microsoft would like, but if it can't transmit it back to Microsoft servers, it doesn't matter.

The stupidity of this board amazes me sometimes.
>>
>>68334724
Have you actually done that, anon?
>>
>>68335164
Yes I work in info sec and i wanted to know if Microsoft were subverting their own firewall so I installed tinywall which is just a wrapper for windows firewall, it blocks all outbound traffic except for that which you whitelist. Windows is completely silent on the network which I MITM attacked for about a week. Even when using cortana and all the services which are known to send keylogging back to MS

Installing tinyway is like 10 seconds, and it requires no confuring, you can just whitelist apps as you go.
>>
>>68335759
Bad goy
>>
>>68326323
What's FOSS?
>>
>>68335960
It's actually good MS did this move in my opinion. The business model of Win10 fundamentally changed to selling keystrokes to the highest bidder but making the OS free or extremely cheap.

Except anyone with a brain simply blocks that shit and then gets the benefit of a reasonably decent user OS for nothing.

Kinda like with ad powered content online, millions of the uniformed browse ads to support content and the smart people just block the ads, its win/win.

>>
>>68324831
ReCaptcha used to send your google account hash if you were logged in on your IP on any google service, allowing 4chan to block users off that no matter how many on-site trackers you blocked
This is not the case anymore, as far as I know

Source: Indexer from /co/
>>
>>68334724
But if the firewall is on Windows, or is created by Microsoft, it still won't achieve total protection, because they have an avenue to its control.

Just drop Windows.
>>
Also, anyone anti-captcha is retarded. I can understand distrusting Google's recaptcha, but wanting to remove a spam filter is fucking retarded.
>>
>>68336119
A stupid meme piece of shit that require you to be a wizard to make it work on 99% of the hardware.
AND THEN the software issues rear their ugly head.
Been using Lubuntu, couldn't open webms without manually toggling a option in the FF configs, couldn't find a solution other than "install this this and this" that it is ALREADY installed.

Removed Shitnux, installed Windows10, everything works.

>hurr durr goy
I'm not a criminal, I've got nothing to hide, I don't browse for CP or drugs or extremist websites. Get fucked you and your "Muh privacy" shit
>>
>>68336569
I disagree that games are windows only strong point, and yes I do play games so until this is an issue tackled well by other OS's you basically have to run Windows anyway. Windows is generally a pretty solid end user OS. I use linux for about 90% of my servers though, right tool for the job IMO.

>>68336801
You could say that about any OS quite frankly, the day they start provably subverting windows firewall is the day i'll care, in the same way that the day the linux OS creators for your particular flavour start subverting something on your distro is the day you'll care about it.

MS aren't going to do that because the people blocking are a tiny fraction of the population and aren't worth the cost and risk to PR in order to fight them, plus there's 3rd party firewalls and hardware firewalls, that's a losing battle.

Can always make your own with a free/lite cloud service like AWS, super easy and stops all ISP level monitoring of you. Actually AWS EC2 instances are really handy because they get a new IP every time you reboot them.

Or you could use Tor to hack a website and install a proxy and then chain Tor with that as a VPN for browsing from an IP that's not banned and basically no one else cna get access to.
